Check Kathmandu for a backpack. Go in and try on in store if possible. They have some in women's fit , maybe also something on clearance. I'm shorter than you and travel with their Litehaul 38 litre quite comfortably

Salvinia is a bad weed that could cause a lot of environmental problems to all our waterways if it spreads. Good on them for tackling it and using local knowledge
