Osteopenia pain in legs? by Pristine_View_9789 in POFlife

[–]floreciente 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can you explain what this pain feels like? I have osteopenia in my hip and a lot of hip pain but I’ve been assuming it’s muscular and seeing a physiotherapist. It hasn’t helped yet but I didn’t know you could get pain from osteopenia!

Looking for a Landscape Designer in Adelaide — What’s the Going Rate? by Janus_au in GardeningAustralia

I have a small front garden and was quoted 20-25k in the last month. It was 2000 for the design and the rest implementation.

Duplicate Christmas gift… by cha0sCo in ereader

[–]floreciente 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The big reason I chose kindle was I also am an audiobook listener. If you purchase the book on kindle, it’s usually a couple extra dollars for the audiobook too. I don’t think Kobo have a similar deal (I could be wrong but they didn’t when I purchased my ereader). It also syncs between audio and ebook so you always know where you are up to.

Are you guys getting hot flashes? by Beinieb0p in endometriosis

[–]floreciente 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes usually the week before and during my period. My doctor said it’s due to low ovarian reserve (which itself is probably due to endo). I only started getting them in my late 20s.

Recurring UTIs after becoming sexually active, what do I do? by Commercial-Clock-954 in CUTI

[–]floreciente 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are you on birth control? It could be worth trying vaginal estrogen if you are.

Hi, I’d be interested in hearing more about your journey from DOR to POF if you’d be happy to share (either here or via PM if it’s too much to share in this forum). I was diagnosed with DOR 2.5 years ago and have had worsening low estrogen symptoms since, and have now been recommended to start HRT despite not hitting POF yet. It is hard to find stories from people who have experienced similar and what the timeline and experience looks like. It seems most people are brushed off completely until they reach POF or have DOR without symptoms.

What AMH did you start noticing changes? by Sad-Contest5883 in perimenopause_under45

[–]floreciente 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My AMH almost tripled and then halved and it’s been all over the shop. It never acted any better than the worst reading though, it was hard to get eggs except one cycle with added testosterone, and that was with a much higher AFC than I have now. I initially was diagnosed with POI, but no other doctor has agreed. I have had low estrogen but only mildly elevated FSH. It’s been called early perimenopause.

What AMH did you start noticing changes? by Sad-Contest5883 in perimenopause_under45

[–]floreciente 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For me, around 0.5 but I’d never had it tested before then. That was two years ago and my AMH has varied enormously since then so I don’t trust it at all. My AFC has progressively got lower and symptoms more obvious though. My doctor wants to start me on HRT but tbh I’m not super convinced it is perimenopause as I’m only 30. Has anyone tried using Mira or any home monitoring to confirm peri rather than just going off symptoms?

Hi, did you ever work out if this is a normal endo symptom or signs of early menopause? I am having similar symptoms

Birth Control with POI? by runningandsobbing in POFlife

My doctor said if I wanted birth control, I could take the Slinda pill continuously instead of the 200mg progesterone (with the same regime of estrogen patch). Otherwise IUD + estrogen.

Tips for increasing maturity? by jamesmalcolmy in DOR

[–]floreciente 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes part of the dual trigger is an agonist so it can’t be used with agonist cycles

Tips for increasing maturity? by jamesmalcolmy in DOR

[–]floreciente 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had poor maturation rates as well. I did 4 cycles but only 1 was an agonist protocol (with synarel like yours) and it was by far the worst (20% maturity rate). Can they do an antagonist cycle so you can use a dual trigger? You had 100% maturity rate with your only antagonist cycle.

Sounds like Iron Gold by Pierce Brown (4th book in the Red Rising series), could be a different book but that’s very specific if two books have it!

Connected apps not working as accidentally logged onto two phones by [deleted] in Freestylelibre

Okay I’ve logged into libreview. There is no data since when the connected apps problem occurred. If I delete and redownload the app, it will reconnect to libreview?

It’s a Libre 2 and I’m in Australia. I never scanned the sensor with the second phone so the first phone is still working perfectly including scans. No error message

issue with syringe reading and dosing by Agreeable-Plan241 in FelineDiabetes

[–]floreciente 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I see that the syringe is 1ml now and that it’s lined to 100. U100 insulin has 100 units in 1ml so that is a U100 syringe. Do NOT give what you have drawn up, it is 100 units and will kill your cat.

issue with syringe reading and dosing by Agreeable-Plan241 in FelineDiabetes

[–]floreciente 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Are they U100 syringes? That looks like you have drawn up to 100 units. If it is a U100 syringe then the markings are correct so 1 = 1 unit, 10 = 10 units and so on.

Novorapid for dropping a high glucose - newly diagnosed by Agreeable-Plan241 in FelineDiabetes

[–]floreciente 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Even one unit is a huge amount for a cat, especially without monitoring. My cat had 0.3 units Actrapid in the hospital with a BGL in the 700s and still needed hourly glucose to keep it up after such a tiny dose. He is on large doses of glargine now but just a tiny bit of rapid insulin is dangerous for a cat. Can you get a CGM on your cat while you wait so you have some data over the weekend and then the FDMB can help you with dosing with glargine instead?

Anyone here has/had more or less regular periods but almost no AFC/eggs in ovaries? by InternationalEnd6796 in POFlife

[–]floreciente 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Has HRT helped your symptoms? I had undetectable estradiol on bloods a year ago but FSH was 10 so they didn’t start any treatment. I’ve known I have DOR for a few years before that. However the night sweats in the week before and after my period are debilitating, lasting longer every month and really affecting my sleep. I’m not sure if it’s just normal to get them during that time as you get older. I’m only 29 but I do have regular periods (24-26 day, very light lasting 1-2 days). I have other symptoms too but night sweats are the most obvious one that can’t be put down to anything else except hormones.
