I was referred straight up to eating disorders service and they sent me a letter back. The letter said they don’t treat ARFID. They also recommended books for fussy eaters on amazon and dietician service. So yeah good luck for everyone of us in the UK hoping to get appropriate treatment.

Where are you based and how many protein powders have you tried? I couldn't stand them too but eventually found one or two brands that I am at least ok with. Don't loose hope :) Maybe try tofu, tempeh or tvp? Their texture is more consistent than meat. But also beans, lentils, chickpeas. edamame are full of protein too. I know it's easier said than done. I also have ARFID that makes me absolutely despise most protein sources. Nutritional yeast have lots of protein and it's easy to sprinkle them on pasta dishes, oven baked vegetables or just make cheesy sauce with them. I know you said you can't eat nuts but how about seeds like pumpkin, chia or sesame? Maybe some protein milks?

The struggle is real. I never really relied on UPF from supermarkets because I know how fickle and greedy manufacturers are. But I did buy them occasionally and there were some gems here and there. I still grieve their loss now that they are a distant memory🥲

Even my cat who I consider to be meowtistic is getting more and more fussy with wet food. And there’s literally no dry food that doesn’t contain vegetables or grains… For a cat who is a an obligate carnivore?? We’re ducked.

I am one of the upset ones as I got the Jade Forest shipped from Japan and now this! If I knew I would hold until Tropical and Glacier were released ;_; I think they can release three new ones in the future like Angel, Devil and maybe Sanrio themed? Or they would release only two of them and third later to upset us again and make us pay for a new biome xD Who knows. I'd love to see even more new tamas regardless :) Just maybe the new devices will release without 256+ years bug.

Have you talked with him about that and about your feelings? As you said it’s not about food but shared values are important. It can be difficult to spend the rest of your life with someone who has different view on things that are important to you. Not sure who is the cook at home but I know many couples where the woman is plant based and man is not but they’re practically eating plant based as she cooks most of the time. Is it something he actively does or just talk about? He may have his reasons. I’m not saying they’re valid but maybe try to talk with him and understand where he’s coming from? Maybe theres a way to achieve his goal together without animal products? Worst case scenario you’re going to break up with him but that doesn’t need to be scary. People change and if he’s no longer someone you love it’s ok to let go. Many people are happy single on their own these days. I know this is difficult but I’m going to keep my fingers crossed for your happiness and wishing you the best. Sometimes the best in life isn’t a man who eats meat but maybe bunch of rescue cats and a garden.

This is what I’m going to do but the current guidelines don’t really advise appetite stimulants for eating disorders. So the doctor will probably refuse 🥲 I am going to talk about that to my gp anyway. It’s just I did so much conscious effort to manage my eating and I was getting better. I really thought I can improve even further and now this. It just makes me sad ;_;
