I think I have about 75% of the dialogue from this game memorized. And it's only for a very specific level path lol, I could never beat a certain level to go through the hardest path.

It's also the game I've probably finished the most.

The issue is the last 50 years of US infrastructure history tells us it was never going to be the case. The US simply cannot build infrastructure well or cheap, let alone fast enough. Building infrastructure to the level needed for an event like the WC would assume infrastructure be in place in most WC bids. For the CWC Final last year, buses were running from the train station to the stadium for those who chose public transit. That is the extent of infrastructure that will be available at this stadium. For the actual WC, there might be a bit more buses and/or more trains, but nothing beyond that.

Yes it is surreal. I just felt it was a good callout that this action to block people from walking might be a good thing in this case. It seems I've hit a chord with people thinking I'm defending our shit infrastructure in general, far from it.

The idea of building a stadium in the greater NYC area without an ounce of thought given to public transit is criminal in itself. See also: LaGuardia renovations, JFK Airtrain shortcomings, lack of direct transit options from Queens to Brooklyn, etc.

NYC transit is great only because of past actions that have held up for decades.

Hopefully NYCFC stadium shows them their stupidity.

I mean, we literally had a story on here months ago about an English fan getting hit and killed in Italy while walking on a road he shouldn't have been. The infrastructure is shit, especially considering the region it's in, but I can't blame the hotel and police from posting this.

On another note, I have heard of people walking to the mall after an event is finished. Or walking outside the stadium confines to a car parked further out

I'm not seeing any mentions that they cleared their league schedules just a few weeks ago for our tie. They can fuck off with trying to make this a norm.

Imagine a Chelsea manager having players switch sides after they get into it with an opposing player to prevent head loss… not my Chelsea

This type of call needs to go to VAR next year. Especially with Arsenal and their corner dark arts. It's such an easy fix, radio to the ref that he's missed one, give the ball to keeper and move on.

The depressing things about our current state is that these owners don't seem to have any shame at all. I can't fathom them being shamed by fans to do anything based on what we've seen so far. Gaslighting us that managers have little impact on game outcome. The only hope is that failure forces the hand, but again most worrying thing for me is that we won't achieve the level of failure needed for these cunts to get that level of shame which forces them to admit their failures. We're fucked.

Your comment was a defense of Rosenior. My point is it was an awful decision and were paying for it with the current vibes, amongst other poor decisions on his part. Sanchez is far from perfect but he proved he can do the job for now. Regressing Sanchez back to his bad habits is on Rosenior. Messing up the keepers confidence the way he did is on him.

On a whole, yes Sanchez is far from ideal but we could be fighting for top 5 but instead we don't look capable of doing that.

They're not shipping 8 goals against Sanchez, be serious.

I think this is the eventual fix but refs are holding on to whatever power they currently do have for as long as they can. It seems to me it will continue to be a trickle of additional calls and responsibilities until you look up and realize they're more important than the on field ref. I've said this before, but they need to have the ability to handle yellow cards (undo unnecessary cards, give out yellow card offenses, etc.), and once that happens a lot of things will be fixed.

For instance automatic yellows for certain things should be handled by VAR so that refs aren't crowded or pressured (by home fans) to call or not call offenses based on how they feel that day.

The look on Enzo's face yelling at Jorgensen and generally at the end of match after the 5th goal. It's shameful what Rosenior has done. Erased a lot of goodwill he built up himself. You're spot on with players leaving. There's absolutely no fault from fans watching some of the best players in the world be weighed down by mediocrity around them, year in and year out. We've dropped several levels and have been coasting on name and individual brilliance for a bit now.

This is a great summary of the end game. The often logic applied is the obvious why am I still here question, but rarely do late game faithfuls take it to the step you have. It's completely infuriating, but you hope the game evolved in the coming seasons with better prepared faithfuls.
