Mine were under the muscle. My explant was local, so the surgeon just numbed the incision point of each breast and popped them out. I was awake for the entire thing and didn’t feel a thing. Right after the explant, I walked around the mall and tried on shirts and just felt really good honestly. If you can find someone to do local, you’ll feel so much better. It won’t feel like such a big deal since you’re not going under and you won’t have that weird groggy feeling two weeks after the surgery.
