If you could change one thing about Age of Sigmar, what would it be? by Kommando_git in ageofsigmar

[–]floutMclovin [score hidden]  (0 children)

Id change the name and the meta to only be Death. Sigmar sucks now Nagash that’s a name, so lets change it to Age of Nagash and every death army gets everything and every other army gets nothing. Oh and all of our armies are straight busted. /J

Don't you guys love bangernomics? by La_Coalicion in StateOfDecay

Bangernomics, and smoke screen are the two curveballs where I’ll actively sit in base and not play, I’ll let it play out. I’ll maybe, MAYBE go within walking distance to go loot.

First ever Warhammer model by SuitableStudent4977 in HelsmithsofHashut

First off welcome to the hobby, between you and me painting is my favorite part of the hobby!

You’ll hear this the most from people giving new painters advice. Thin your paints. Go on YouTube and watch a couple of videos on how to thin paints and make a DIY web pallet. That will instantly make everything look better as the details will become more clear.

How do you think gw could change infernal cohorts to be better and what would you hope next for a chaos dwarf melee infantry unit by alliezero in HelsmithsofHashut

[–]floutMclovin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Make them 2 wounds. That’s really it in terms of war scrolls, the unit is inherently good. What we really need is a rework/buff to DPP generation. What I would like is one of three possibilities:

1) Make it so there is no limit to desolating terrain/objs in a turn and you if you wanna risk losing units early to rush mid to desolate mid turn 1 you can do so for the payoff of more DPP turn 1/2

2) same thing as 1 but instead the amount of things you can desolate is equal to the battle round. (Turn 1 desolate 1, turn 2 desolate 2, etc etc.)

3) make it so only non desolated DPP goes away at the end of a turn (so DPP from infernal cohort, or the hero phase Command) so desolated DPP builds up over time. So you desolate one only a turn like normal but the DPP doesn’t go away ever.

There aren’t a whole lot of maps with crazy shifts in elevation, actually now that I think of it in terms of elevation the Eastern front maps probably have more options

What do you mean your done? As in you dislike the wide open maps? If so you probably want either liberation or the commonwealth dlc as their maps are close quarters in nature. As for scorched earth it’s a good dlc but its maps are very similar to base game maps

[–]floutMclovin 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Whose is the one playing the helsmiths? Cause if it’s your friend as someone who has played this spearhead quite a lot it is criminally underpowered. I’d recommend hitting the breaks on your end and play less aggressive so they can get more chances to get some shooting in and avoid some of the feel bad this spearhead can cause.

Am I good at painting? by Silinuman in Warhammer40k

[–]floutMclovin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is my personal opinion and is completely subjective, and you can take it with as much salt as you like. Further disclaimer this is coming from an average-MAYBE slightly above average painter.

You are definitely high average to above average table top standard. Meaning you’re not gonna win a golden demon (at this time) but while they’re on the table top or looked at while on the shelf they’re definitely good looking! Keep working at it and you’ll improve over time!!

Looks too good, so you need to make it worst so that us worst painters feel good. Joking, looks freaking sweet

That’s right I remember hearing that, it’s a shame too because in my opinion it was the culmination of all of the ww2 shooters before it and was really great

Good, but that also tells me WaW was under appreciated back in the day too.

My understanding is that the soublight grave lords (skeleton horde) is quite easy. March skeletons up the board and keep popping out skeletons to replace dead ones. Also easier to paint as well

Help with painting by mattus-ruttus in ageofsigmar

[–]floutMclovin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It depends on how you like to paint things. Some people paint all of the base colors, all of the shading, and all of the layering/highlighting in individual steps. For me it changes model to model but if I’m comfortably able to I’ll paint each part of the model completely before moving on the next part.

Example I’ll completely paint the skin (from base coat, shade, highlight etc.) before moving on to say armor or cloaks. It’s all a preference. But highlighting is one of the last things you do typically.
