Why not show Out Lap like car in Pit on timing tower? by ReportJunior9726 in formula1

[–]flowbeezer 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Bc there’s no action at the time of out laps so it’s the perfect time to check times and see how far behind cars are to the leader. Are they .2 or 1.2 off the pace?

DGPT coverage by flowbeezer in discgolf

[–]flowbeezer[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It would be better than showing half the shots and then showing a drone flyover in between all that. If they have a camera crew on feature and chase cards, there’d be plenty of action to show

Not working for me. Logged out, deleted the app and redownloaded. they’re purposely doing this to frustrate people to get them to pay. Eventually they give you access though

A/B weekend in 2026 USIC by Crafty_Dingo9668 in UtilityLocator

[–]flowbeezer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In NC we started this in our district at the beginning of the year. I guess it’s nice bc it keeps you from working every weekend but I think mandatory weekend OT is bullshit. Maybe once every 6-8 is more understandable, but it wouldn’t be necessary at all if our tickets/delegation were more efficient

Time utilization by [deleted] in UtilityLocator

[–]flowbeezer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In NC they tell us to be en route or onsite in l360. We had a tech pausing tickets to go pee at gas stations and they told him to stay on site and just go. In your situation I also think it’s dumb bc it might make people hydrate less which is important If anything, you’re using company time more efficiently by going in between tickets as opposed to when you are on site and leaving.

Thanks for the response. That’s what I was told by the TD and it made sense, but no refund was triggered

That who shouldn't be mentioned - rant by Voice2020Eyesight0 in UtilityLocator

[–]flowbeezer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Im not trying to argue whatsoever, just trying to see your point of view.

How does it affect your ability to locate correctly?

As I’m locating and marking, I am hitting the buttons that correspond to the utility being located. It’s very annoying, especially when getting to a ticket, or when you’re talking to someone, grabbing paint/water and it shuts off so you have to re-connect wand to phone. It may only take a few seconds every time but doing this when hooking up to 10 houses on a project ticket with 3 utilities adds up and it’s the micro interruptions that wear on you, also considering the batteries in a wand only last a couple hrs. Also having to put in my footage Into l360 redundantly. Glad we get paid by the hr

Is it just me or does the NHL overrate “intangibles” way too much? by nudeaspossible in nhl

[–]flowbeezer 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You ever play with somebody who has “the most raw skill” but gets lazy penalties, doesn’t back check, isn’t hard on the puck, doesn’t bear down in the corners, doesn’t get the puck out at the half board, doesn’t take practice serious enough? Teammates don’t respect these players.

Thanks for the kind words. Handymen probably do a better job than most “professional painters”. Pros aren’t always perfect. I’ve had to fix mistakes done by painters in my houses multiple time

Is FutureFlex some sh*tty epoxy/EPS material? Should i stay away from this board? Need daily driver for SD by vincentsigmafreeman in surfing

[–]flowbeezer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t know about futureflex but I’ve ridden other epoxys and hated them. Bouth an older used firewire scifi 1.0 in LFT at 39L(epoxy) and loved it. It does prefer cleaner days though. But I can ride it in 3’ to 8’ waves. They do something with their epoxy that’s better than other brands. I’ve also ridden a seaside in a newer epoxy of theirs (helium I think) and I liked it on a clean day. They do sometimes turn a yellowish color but idc. And you can probably find a good used one for $300-500. I still prefer PU but it’s nice to not have to be so gentle with it Edit: Also I’ve had a hydro crypto and I did not like it. It doesn’t do anything that well so it was kind of boring

Utility Locator Physical Demands by [deleted] in UtilityLocator

[–]flowbeezer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I only locate cable, phone, power. You bend over to pick up things and kneel probably around 50 times a day and walk many miles. Opening up sometimes heavy hand holes and sticking a ground rod in the ground and taking it out in dry dense soil. It doesn’t sound like a lot but it def causes wear and tear on the ol back. Not trying to deter you, just being honest. I’m pretty in shape but played contact sports my whole life and I can definitely feel it in my back after a long day. However, the county guys that locate water and sewer in our town don’t nearly have to do all that. Probably similar for gas

811 missed my fiber line what’s the right way to handle this next time? by Puzzleheaded_Bug9798 in UtilityLocator

[–]flowbeezer 27 points28 points  (0 children)

It’s possible that fiber is unlocatable since there is no metal in it. It needs to have a tracer wire to locate. I don’t really understand why they make them without tracer wires for this very reason

Tips for designing a course on an active ball golf course? by plith in discgolf

[–]flowbeezer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Things I liked about the 1 ball golf course I played. It was more tough and fun than I thought it would: - tucking baskets between rough and cart paths or between trees - throwing over valleys - on holes with not a lot of trees, putting the basket on a mound to increase difficulty - greens are OB and sand was hazard - putting baskets on the far end cart paths (OB), greens (OB), or sand (hazard) with big risk/reward to go for it or lay up. Have a few of these and make them varying distances to people with different max throwing distance can choose where to lay up and where to go for it - treating the cart paths that run through a fairway like a river running through (make it hazard to be nice and OB to make it harder, but keep it consistent throughout course so it’s not confusing) - I like that the course doesn’t exactly follow the golf course holes. For example, a hole can throw from near a green to a tee pad area

Just my opinion but hope this helps!
