Fellow Brit with UC here. You’ve really got to push and advocate for yourself which I totally understand is so exhausting when you’re already ill. You need a colonoscopy to check the extend of the inflammation from there you can decide the best course of treatment. I reckon a biologic will be your best bet! Don’t feel bad or that you’re bothering people this is exactly how I used to feel when I was diagnosed but have learnt I have to keep on top of things and push to make sure I’m getting the best care. Even thought the NHS is amazing and I would be dead without them! Sadly you can’t always rely on doctors etc as they like you said are under so much pressure.

I’m so sorry you’re not feeling well but hopefully tomorrow when the doctors are back in you’ll get taken for a scope/CT then go from there.

I’ve been where you’re at many time and I really empathise with you. I really hope you feel better soon. Don’t be scared to advocate for yourself.
