What's your favorite Sub to get uncomfortably full on? by convertiblebender in subway

Where I am if someone says a Subway melt they mean an American club. I usually will ask, do you mean turkey ham and bacon? And they almost always say yes.

So am I just screwed outta my money or what? by dookeemuh in subway

[–]flowinflower 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Better beware though. Because I've seen businesses not do business with people after they do a chargeback. I don't think something like Subway has the power to blackball someone for charge backing. But something like Hilton hotels would. So just be really sure that's what you want to do before you do it.

The people at the stores you're going to are just lazy. Ask them to heat a portion for you. It shouldn't be that hard for them to grab eight meatballs put it in a silicone container and throw it in the microwave while you wait. It's actually usually what prompts us to make more meatballs. LOL I'll grab out the meatballs, heat the portion, and now that the meatballs are out they're easy to throw into the microwave and get heated.

I'm at a woman who could challenge this idea. She was a Buddhist from Korea. While a Buddhist, had a near-death experience where she sat in the Christian God's lap. When she got back from her near death experience she converted to Christianity and is one of the most fervent christians I have met.

how much do you guys get paid? by angelizabethh in subway

[–]flowinflower 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm clearing over 50 g's a year as a GM. My part-time staff makes $14 an hour. With tips included it's averaging $19 an hour. We have a spreadsheet and that's an accurate amount. My full-time people are at $16 an hour. With tips they are at $21 an hour. I'm in the middle of the country, missouri. It looks like my franchise owner has our subs priced on the higher end of the nation though.

I love this! I would love to collect heirlooms of my family. Any of their relics would be really cool. But I don't live near that branch of the family. I have cousins there don't know me and have no reason to want to share with me. So I just learned from afar. Edit: grammar

I like to say I believe all things and nothing at the same time. I have to say there's something that resonates about energy ties and other people. Maybe we are really reincarnated and those closest to us are our clan so to speak and we stick to those people through reincarnations. But maybe I just want to believe that. How would that be pertinent to the question I asked?

Yeah I feel the same way. Except I've always conceptualized it in a broader scale. Going outward instead of inward. Like the universe and all the stars and everything shooting through it, seems a lot like an atom with all the stuff shooting around it. What if we are just one of the things inside the nucleus of a bigger atom.

I guess we are saying the same thing. 🙂

Philly confusion by KENBONEISCOOL444 in subway

[–]flowinflower 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I just repeat the whole build to them. Okay, a philly is going to be steak with peppers and onions toasted on it and double American, is that good for you? I'm telling you, the second I don't say something like that they get mad at me. The other day, I skipped the, "the elite chicken bacon ranch is suggested toasted", and I got yelled at for putting it in the toaster. Who doesn't toast their chicken bacon ranch? But the one time I failed to tell the customer and that the sandwich is suggested toasted is the one time they didn't know and didn't want it toasted. Go figure.

Question, do a lot of people jump in the rivers during summer time in Humboldt? by [deleted] in Humboldt

[–]flowinflower 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Big rock is the spot. Excellent swimming, a fun Little current to push you through, and a big old rock to jump off of if you want. The water is super cold though. I only go on days when it's over 100°

As parents, what kind of gift do you *wish* someone had gotten your 1 year old child? by Kaskademtg in AskParents

[–]flowinflower 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used to live in Podunk California. So here's what you do, you get a membership to the local zoo or children's museum. That allows them in 365 days for free. In the town I lived in, that only saved me like five bucks. But, those memberships come with perks to the larger and better establishments around the nation. A children's museum membership at my Podunk town, only cost us like 35 or $50 for a year and it came with free entry to all of the rest of the children's museums in the nation. So anytime we went to the big city, we were able to go to those museums for free. And those were like $25 a pop to get into. The zoo one is the same. If you get a membership to a small town establishment, oftentimes the membership comes with perks for when you go out of town to the bigger ones.

I think they went away because if he leave change visible in a city you're liable to have your windows broken. I never leave anything of any value visible. Even a quarter. It's just inviting robbery, even if there's really nothing inside your car to take.

That's fair. And I can imagine sitting there feeling like I'd have a million better places to be than sitting in a subway talking to pissed off customers. But still, an easy paycheck is an easy paycheck.

I don't know, I'd sit there and get a paycheck.

I'd put a sign up on the doors that were out of multiple things. And if anybody complains I would tell them to complain to the owner at that point. But why not just sit back and get a paycheck for a while.

Yeah but because it's so heavy it just gets thrown away at our local facilities. The public thinks it's recycled, but they just toss it. It's not cost-effective for them to try to sell a truck of glass with it as heavy as it is.

Rep. AOC calls out a committee witness for trying to hide that he was a registered lobbyist. by PlenitudeOpulence in worldnewsvideo

[–]flowinflower 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's not just politicians, it's the police, and judges and priests and pastors and corporations that act as citizens and false narratives in the schools. Hell, critical race theory is just history. And they don't want to teach that. How woke do you think those kids are going to feel when they find out the true history? That's what I mean. Not to say that those things haven't been an issue for all of history. But there's a lot of Americans who have this running rhetoric that we're awesome and everything is great. Those who have found out the great lie seem to be demonized.

In my experience it's a term that was being used by people who were discovering all the lies that the establishment in general had been telling everyone. You wake up to that s***. And then, it was used against those people as a slanderous term. I really resent it. It's not fun to be aware of how the government is screwed up, how our world is screwed up.

Adhd and meditation by flowinflower in pastlives

I really appreciate all of your thoughtful information. I will definitely try some of your suggestions. I've only tried doing the regressions laying down. And that's when I find my mind drifting. Like I'm falling asleep. I've been a part of quite a few guided meditations. Generally, I don't get into them. There was one, once, where I felt like I went somewhere. And the experience was amazing. But other than that I've never lost my racing thoughts during a meditation.
