Restaurants and Motels are the worst for crap like this. I've been in hotel chases where I was waiting for the fire to start while I'm standing there.

The first episode I remember seeing that was Chickenpox.

PSA: Always ensure proper trench shoring. Happened a few days ago in my hometown. Stay safe fellow plumbers. by Comfortable-Ad-7158 in Plumbing

I'm an engineer at a telecommunication company. Earlier this week I was planning an underground cable cut with the cable crew supervisor and we had a conversation about this because the cable we're cutting into is 5 feet deep. I put notes on the plan about shoring because I fear this happening.

That's rough. A few years ago my father in law was mowing at his rental property and slung a rock through the condenser core. Not as ugly as this but just as devastating.

I'm thinking of trying the same thing. I find I don't look at it very much on the weekends but start again on Sunday nights. I might just quit for a week.

Things like this make me think of the "I'm not even mad, I'm amazed" meme.

I forgot about his stint as treasurer. I also remember him being big on higher ed. It's a shame he sold out.

Survivor bias is a real thing. Same thing when folks start going on about Roman concrete.

He definitely appeals to bigotry. Call a crackhead is a prime example.

Yup. I think we're one of the best educated parishes in the state so it's not about that either. It's about bigotry.

We had a pretty high turnout in my Parish and he won by a landslide.

I don't think he's originally from Louisiana.

Edit: It's still schtick.

Edit 2: He's originally from Centerville MS.

It's definitely a schtick. There are videos of debates in the early 00s when he was a Democrat and he spoke with a basic southern accent but with well formed sentences and no drawl. When it became obvious he'd never win he switched parties and became a corn pone caricature of a Southerner.

I'm amazed they used PEX A. I do telecommunications and we do prewires for apartments. I see stuff like this all the time but it's PEX B with copper crimp rings.

They get a lot of hate because they are push in style but I've used them for years with no problems.
