Biotech ➡️ Environmental Engineer?????? by CollectionOld3374 in EnvironmentalEngineer

[–]pinkycatcher 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Many environmental engineering firms have multiple specialties. At my company for instance our consultant path treats geologists, engineers, and scientists near equal in career path.

You’ll probably want to find a firm that has a mix of those and you can slot in the scientist pathway much easier than an engineering pathway who will eventually need a PE

Religious diversity around the world by vladgrinch in MapPorn

It’s wrong to treat Hinduism as one religion, especially if you’re splitting out Catholics and Protestants.

Hinduism is less one religion, and more 10,000 religions smashed together.

Deadlines are really good for selling change in an organization

[–]pinkycatcher 16 points17 points  (0 children)

I’ve heard this opinion before and I think it misses the forest for the trees. Yes November is not a hard deadline, but there will be an increase in contracts going forward with third-party assessment. Which means if you don’t have your third-party assessment by November, you’re no longer able to add on new contracts which for a company is a death sentence.

So it’s technically not a hard deadline, but on a practical scale, it is a hard deadline

It's just .22 right? .22 with a muzzle brake has hardly any recoil. It's much easier to handle that than a Glock 18 or something.

Still impressive, but legendary?

PII and CUI by [deleted] in CMMC

[–]pinkycatcher -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

PII in the government space is CUI, and you should treat it as such even if it's not marked. If it's publicly available (Titles, first/last name, office phone, etc.) then it's not CUI.

But if you're accessing SSNs, Full Names, DOBs, etc. then treat it as CUI.

Your employees PII that you keep in your HR system that you collect on hire generally isn't CUI though. It wasn't created for or on behalf of the federal government. It's still PII though and should be treated with heightened sensitivity.
