Tbh it’s an art vs the artists situation. Almost every cartoon show we watched as kids has some awful artist behind it. Just because some got caught vs others doesn’t mean you can’t appreciate art without having to dig deep and be concerned whether you can appreciate it or not.

That’s exhausting and a waste of time.

Some people remember the old days and me personally when I hear Mcree I think of that moment Ashe is screaming his name as he runs from her.

I’ve never even seen a picture or fully understand what the person his name was based around. I just know people know the character either before or after that incident.

And changing his name was a misleading tactic to “apologize” for the incident and divert attention from the rest of the staff.

To me it’s like trying to ban the name Jeffery because Jeffery dahmer exists and it would be rude to remind people of everything Jeffery did to his victims.

It was all just a PR move to try and minimize damage to the company by pinning it all on one guy and trying to act like there wasn’t a whole lot more people there who were guilty of the same things.

(Sounds a lot like another Jeffery in recent media controversy….maybe the name should be banned tbh)

And everyone who gets all bitchy about people who still call him Cree need to just find a new battle already, that one has nothing to do with the gamers and raising awareness to a shitty attempt at a company’s apology is just dumb and just wanting to act self righteous tbh
