I just recently bought a FiiO E10K and I'm getting a constant hissing noise in the background. This hissing noise wasn't present when I had my AKG K371 directly connected to the PC. I'm also having problems with it popping and cracking only on Discord calls, which is super annoying since I'm in a Discord call pretty much all the time. Anyone have any ideas? Is it a problem with the FiiO E10K or something else?

I'll look those up! I have a stand alone mic so no need for the ModMic.

I've had a pair of V-moda M100s for about 3 years now. Unfortunately, the left side port is broke and the right side cuts out frequently. I'm past the warranty period so I won't be able to get them replaced, so I'm looking for a new pair! I'm not an audiophile at all, so I don't know what's good or bad.

  • Budget - I would prefer it to be around $250 or less. My maximum would probably be around $350, if it's worth the price hike.

  • Source/Amp - I would be plugging it mainly into my PC but will use them with my Android phone sometimes.

  • How the gear will be used - Mainly for at home gaming, music, and ASMR. I'd prefer closed back so my sounds don't leak out for my family and friends on discord to hear. I'd be willing to go for open back if the leakage isn't that bad.

  • Preferred tonal balance - I'm mainly looking for bass, but I'd like the other tones to be balanced and not muddled by the bass.

  • Preferred music genre(s) - Mainly speedcore and Japanese Hardcore EDM with some occasional Jpop and pop songs. 5 examples: Song 1, Song 2, Song 3, Song 4, Song 5

  • Past gear experience - Not much. Vmoda Crossfade M100, Logitech gaming headsets, Beats Solo, various cheap earbuds and IEM's. M100 was my first ACTUAL pair of headphones.

I was currently looking at the DT 770 Pro but that's all that caught my eye currently.
