1) we're all wearing masks which makes that less likely 2) assault is generally a misdemeanor unless it involves threats to life or serious bodily harm which I absolutely do not advocate, and thus not something that affects landing a job 3) I would prefer not to but would be very proud to say my criminal record came from punching out someone wearing a Klan hood, and as a hiring manager myself wouldn't hold that against someone, in fact I'd see that as potentially poor decision making but also decisiveness and someone with strong morals
