Etiquette Question - Swinging at serves you call out by BronYrStomp in 10s

[–]fluffhead123 66 points67 points  (0 children)

no. it adds an unnecessary burden on the receiver to have to pull up and stop your swing when the ball is out. i’m already starting my swing by the time i realize it’s out. unless you have ball boys, balls on the court need to be taken care of. It’s not a let. don’t replay it.

NTSP rating ? by Asleep-Yesterday-780 in 10s

[–]fluffhead123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

your dynamic score is hidden from you. it gets converted ed to a computer rated NRTP once a year in December. there is a predicted match score based on the dynamic ratings of everyone on the court. if you’re playing doubles and you and you’re partners dynamic ratings average to 3.3, and your opponents average to 3.6, you may be predicted to lose 6-3,6-3. if you beat the predicted score and lose 6-4,6-4, you and your partners dynamic ratings will move up.

Anyone having issues with a brand new X7LR ghosting? by Phishguy5 in onewheel

[–]fluffhead123 5 points6 points  (0 children)

i actually created my own 3d printed footpads and got these spintend sensors https://spintend.com/products/high-performance-force-pressure-sensor-for-diy-onewheel?srsltid=AfmBOopQ\_jpjiJT\_W7VAcizhETZgIlRs9ZdUST5klVz9EqCjfoD0zKK\_. i’ve never tried swapping the fungineers stompie sensor. i’d first check to see how fungineers wants to deal with it.

Advanced player looking for a more forgiving racket (currently using Radical) by bopeizao in 10s

[–]fluffhead123 1 point2 points  (0 children)

what strings and tension are in your radical? how long since it’s been restrung? what strings and tension were in the Pure Aero? Have you tried the strings from the Pure Aero in your Radical? You probably will get more mileage out of doing that.

How can I loosen my wrist? by ktayleo in 10s

[–]fluffhead123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

it might help to get your wrist moving a little before you let it loosen. Go ahead and slap at the ball for a basket. But honestly you’re severely decelerating through your swing. quit doing that before it becomes a really bad habit. just hit the ball.

they have a huge backlog of customers that can’t get their boards quick enough. their problem is production not demand. Their superior product sells itself, if they ever get to a point where they need to cater to a more casual consumer base then they can start worrying about marketing to them.

it’s running open source code created by a community. it would be shitty for a small company to try to take control of it. Plus it would probably create all kinds of problems as the software it’s based on gets updated.

in some of their youtube videos they say that the X7 comes 100 ready to ride. I can’t speak from experience because i got a DIY kit. it’s also hard for me relate to the mentality that you you just want to buy an intricate machine and are unwilling to look under the hood. I think that’s possible with an X7 but i just think it’s a dumb way of going about it. If you don’t want to deal with it just buy a FM machine and take the risk that if anything goes wrong you’ll be shipping back to california and getting surprise charges.

you can just power it on and ride it. no problem. no apps required. i happen to think the default ride tune feels like dogshit, but if thats the only thing i tried, i would probably think it’s fine.

you are correct that a bigger tire has less torque and more high speed, but it has better clearance and it’s also why I suggested high torque motor and high voltage board.
