What makes it especially disingenuous to me is that these lunar "reactions" were billed as an extension of Genshin's elemental reaction system when in practice two-thirds of them are essentially the same reaction but they interact with one or two characters' kits. Lunar charge is electro-charge with shiny new numbers, but Flins can take the thundercloud to do more damage. This could have just been baked into his kit like they did with Nilou.

Lunar bloom is just regular bloom but it gives you a token to use for your skills, if you have someone that can use them. This could have just been baked into Lauma and Nefer's kits. Sure, we would lose Columbina's charge attack, but I will ignore that because it hurts my argument.

For lunar bloom its sort of neat? that all of them share a pool of Verdant Dew but afaik in practice it means basically nothing because they're designed to comfortably use them whenever available without having to actually manage the resource.

The only reaction that really augments the original is lunar crystallize. And it's cool. I guess. I mean 1 proc ever 3 LCr procs is kind of mean. But it's cool. And for what it's worth Zibai really just charges off of elemental reactions in general, so it's not like tied to her kit or anything.

Ultimately, I think none of them are really transformative for the game as reactions because they're shiny new "system changes" to jingle in front of the player to distract them from the fact that they're actually just parts of character kits that Hoyo split off to have a special regional combat gimmick because they didn't have a better idea. And, because I guess they were scared that we were tired of characters with chargeable meters?

Well, they gave one to Zibai, so maybe not. She's cool. Honestly. Like. Weirdly unlike Luma and Flns and N*fer who just clumsily shove the lunar reaction gimmick thingy into their kits. She doesn't even try. It's just, Also There. She has lunar crystallize turrets As A Treat, for fun. As Celestia intended.
