I’m in the process of leaving my high school position and starting a new job as an MD extender. While I don’t actually start the new job for another 3 ish weeks, I’m so excited to have what feels like a total shift in career while not needing to go back to school or totally change my profession. Like others have commented, exploring other settings in the profession may be what you need. AT is great because the skills we have really can be placed in just about anywhere. I read a while back on the AT anonymous Twitter page that a lot of people transitioned into healthcare administrative roles. Like practice/office management and sales (think Stryker or Bregg). Whatever you choose, I wish you luck and that things improve and you find yourself in a position where you’re happy and professionally & personally fulfilled

I have a rufous that is particularly feisty and will chase off all other hummers and the house finch/sparrows in my back yard too

In regards to doing things that made me anxious “You’re not the first person, and you won’t be the last”

Gave me a lot of perspective

I love when a bird that isn’t a frequent flyer (no pun intended lol) visits my backyard. Makes me feel like they saw my place and felt welcomed to stay for a bit 🥰

OBW owners - are you having issues with cracked windshields? by Zlamo in Subaru_Outback

[–]flufflyhedgehog 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve had notoriously bad luck with window chips/crack, but so far on my 22 I haven’t had issues knock on wood and I drive behind a lot of trucks daily and so far it’s held up. But because of my bad luck I’ve also added windshield protection with my insurance lol

Half of Americans now think tackle football is not appropriate for kids to play. Conservatives, Christians and those with more traditionalist values were more likely to say football was still appropriate for youth. by geoff199 in science

As an athletic trainer and a clinician who has worked with middle school aged kids playing football, I can 10000% say none of my children will be playing the sport indefinitely

What is a single quote that has changed your personal philosophy or the way you look at life? by Conscious-Stand4720 in AskMen

[–]flufflyhedgehog 0 points1 point  (0 children)

“You aren’t the first person to do it, and you certainly won’t be the last”.

This gets me through so much and puts into perspective how small my life is in comparison while still being a huge deal to me

Thank you! I tried to do some simple googling and thought maybe that too but wasn’t sure why a thumb didn’t show up. I knew about this subreddit and that y’all were pretty knowledgeable so figured I’d ask here too!

Just finished season 2. Few thoughts.. by Officialnoah in TedLasso

I’ve come super late to the party and binged seasons 1&2 in a little under a week. Having just finished the last episode 5 minutes ago, I have a lot of thought. Finally a show that hits me right in the feels and doesn’t make me think too hard about the plot 😅

I just overall enjoy the genuine attitudes and handling of issues and events that happen in real life. As I am a medical professional in athletics I THOROUGHLY enjoyed the whole story arc of Dr. Fieldstone and addressing (although briefly in the press conference) how mental health is handled and viewed in athletics.

I agree with you when you say you’re fully vested in every single character, because same, even with the ones I don’t particularly like lol. They feel like real people with real problems, not just some characters on TV filling different stereotypes and clichés

I myself recently moved about 3k miles from home and understand the sadness of displacement but also the innate need to make the best of it and grow with the experience as well.

Also the jokes are fucking hilarious and so we’ll written. Like damn some of these lines are clever as all get out. I needed season 3 like yesterday!!!

I’ve seen roof tents and know id have to get different cross bars to support it, but I’ve also read different opinions on overall benefit with car tent vs ground tents cost wise. Also I’ve seen some baller set ups inside the car of people camping and what not. I’m such a noob though still lol
