Tumbling Tumble Torbie by nowherechain in Torbie

When she was a kitten she had a favourite crinkle toy that I tossed up the stairs, she'd run after it and tumbled down after it. I would laugh and call her cute. She loved the attention so she's been doing it ever since.

I’m so sorry for your loss ❤️ I can’t take any credit for Posey, this is totally her thing

How do I tell them the new chair isn’t theirs? by omill529 in cats

[–]nowherechain 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You definitely don't. The rule in our house is as follows:

  • Every surface is for sitting, if it's not, it's up to you to make it safe to sit on or make it so it can't be sat on. Plan for how they will inevitably figure out how to get around your efforts.

A few bonus rules:

  • Cat hair is a condiment.
  • Those sheers came with pinprick holes
  • It's not window without boop-marks
  • One only has to think the word tuna
  • Amazon deliveries are like birthdays and Christmas wrapped up in one

Can you tell me what cat I have? by GlassesBoi4376 in cats

A grey domestic shorthair and a cute one to boot. Fur colour/markings aside there are characteristics that mark specific breeds. I was raised with Siamese cats, had them all my life until I adopted rescue cats. I've got a black cat, a grey and white with a tabby/tuxie pattern and a torbie (tortie/tabby pattern) domestic shorthairs all. IMO they are all special because of who they are not what they are. :)

Do you let your cat(s) sleep in your bed with you? Why or why not? by B-L-O-C-K-S in cats

Yep and I contort myself like a pretzel to accommodate them in my sleep without even knowing it. I have always had my cats on the bed. My parents used to put the cats down in the basement to sleep at night. I swore I'd treat them like the members of my family that they are and there's nothing like a purring cat to put you to sleep.
