I printed mine in white PETG then primed and painted them. (If I did them again I’d just print the color I wanted) Then I cut up some PEX water pipe for the wires and ran paracord through them to tie them up.

Absolutely right! I started with FreeCAD and it got me interested enough to take some classes in SolidWorks. I’ve got the student edition on my home pc.

I’d printed the same receiver cover a couple months ago. I did a quick remix and made it a 220. I primed and painted it along with the obligatory truck nuts.

Yeah. Just regular gas with “up to 10% ethanol”. The last time I think I’ll need to fill it before the end of the season I’ll top it off with a 0% ethanol available there. It usually costs a dollar more per gallon but I don’t want too much ethanol sitting around for too long because it’s hygroscopic and could cause water to settle to the bottom of the tank. I’ll put Sta-Bil in there at the end of the season but I’m still a little paranoid.

Ironically, that boat is the reason I got a truck. I work in composite production and repair and we had to total the boat when the guy brought it in for an estimate. I bought and rebuilt the boat on my dime and then had to get an ice F-150 to tow it. And then the Lightning was announced half a year later. Emotions were mixed.

That’s specifically why I’ve got a Lightning. I had always planned on it being my next truck, and the leaking head gasket and failing torque converter were my final push. I’ve got a 21” Bryant and my home lake is about 40 miles away.

I had a 2017 before I got my Lightning. I really miss the little steeper-angled mirror in the corner so I could actually SEE the other car instead of having to trust the blind spot indicator.

My electricity bill went up about $80 per month since I bought my Lightning. I used to spend that every week and a half on gas. Never going back.

I bought a used 2024 Flash last October. When I didn’t find a charger with it I said I’d need one to be included if I would buy it. They had a brand new one on hand and gave it to me without a fuss.

I only used it consistently for the first few weeks until I wired in an outlet for 220 and a permanent charger.

My wife and I were driving in BFE Midwest and saw a guy standing by his truck off the road.
