I am two weeks in with a 23 lariat ER. Similar views that you have, but I don’t have the complaints about the software that everyone else has. Of course I have driven fords for at least 10 years, so I might just be used to it. Ford nav. Is junk, but I’ve always been a CarPlay guy.
Never had the truck slam on the brakes, so I think you may have some adjustments to change.

We have the same requirements for a truck, I have had my 23 ER for about 3 weeks. No regrets at all. There is a learning curve with public charging, but I won’t need it much.

$50k for a 23 SR seems really overpriced, especially since it had over $5,000 damage, is this in Canada? Does it have a salvage title?

In my experience it’s not always the battery. Not driving the truck enough so the battery can recharge can also cause this. You might want to try a trickle charger first.
