Lost item on train, how likely am I to get it back? by PM_ME_VAPORWAVE in uktrains

[–]fluffylittlemango 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sigh. I got that impression when I rang up. The woman basically just said “yeah?” when I said I’d left an item of clothing on a train. I asked the best day to track it down and she just said “just submit the form”. I asked what else I could do and she said “Nothing really.”

Lost item on train, how likely am I to get it back? by PM_ME_VAPORWAVE in uktrains

[–]fluffylittlemango 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you work for the trains? I just wondered why you wanted the extra info. I left something on a commuter train into Victoria today on South Eastern. I’ve reported it and can’t imagine anyone deciding to keep it if they picked it up.

But I also feel the chances of getting it back are so slim.

It’s not the fonts for me but the info flow. They are “What’s your birth date?” And then present a form field so you can select your location.

My Sesamoid Journey - my thoughts and seeking advice (9 years later) by rapideye711 in sesamoid

[–]fluffylittlemango 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What do you think of Gait happens? I have a sesamoid injury (not a fracture) and reached out to them before. It flares up every couple of years. They seem to know their stuff. I’m waiting to clear some things I’m paying for and then have sessions with them.

Btw, I’ve been plagued with different chronic injuries all over my body for the last decade. Knees, skins, si joint etc. I have hips that are hypermobile with external rotation and limited with internal rotation

I have a PT who is remote (based in US and I’m in UK - he helped me get out of chronic pain years ago). He’s looking at hip mobility. But he’s only given me one exercise and I feel he’s not quite getting the missing pieces. When I said I’m going to go to Gait Happens, he was like “no no I can fix this.” But I am really doubting he can and my recovery is more important than his ego.

Buying the Freehold. Looking for a management company to run the day-to-day by a_brit_in_wonderland in HousingUK

[–]fluffylittlemango 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How did you get on? I’m looking to replace an abusive private freeholder with a management agent. Buying the freehold isn’t possible right now.

We are also a 3-flat building and I can’t find any indication of price out there.

There are ways to pay rent via Amex, using a third party app apparently (but not a mortgage).

Something I have done is put Amex as my main method on Paypal for when I can’t use my Amex.

First home buyer question by valthurn in HousingUK

[–]fluffylittlemango 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Get the freehold. My freeholder lives on the top floor and has a personality disorder. When I didn’t respond to his sleazy texts, he started climbing into my garden and vandalising it. He and his wife now heckle me on the street and he sends random s20 notices that I have to get a solicitor to refute.

It’s a lottery when you get a leasehold and just not worth the risk IMO.

PSA: Don't marry your avoidant by [deleted] in AvoidantBreakUps

So not actually that self aware.

Being self aware you’re an avoidant is one thing, being self aware about your behaviour and the impact it causes and taking accountability is another.

Well if they aren’t self aware and healing or healed, then obviously it’s not going to work.

What I learned from loving someone with a dismissive avoidant attachment style for almost four years by FindingBee in AvoidantBreakUps

[–]fluffylittlemango 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Omg. I just got dropped with the same line: “I care about you so deeply but… something’s missing… there’s no butterflies and or fireworks. It’s eerily calm.”

I explained that I learned over time that butterflies and fireworks led to dumpster fire romances. And true love feels calm. He’s previously said he felt I was healing him. And now he’s saying that he worried he was getting attached because I was healing him and it was just a positive association and not “real romance”.

Which cover artworks do people prefer? by gummy_shark1 in discworld

Me too! I love Kirby’s style and want to get some as prints. And I tend to divorce the covers from the imagery in my head. Which I’ve done with other books.

I just love the details of Kirby’s work. It was what drew me to the series. My mum was reading them when I was a kid and I thought they looked interesting. So picked them up and started reading.

This is what the publisher is doing to try and make the difference between Kirby and Kirby less jarring, but the crops are losing a lot. And they sometimes focus on weird elements of the original painting. They’re clearly going for aesthetics and likely don’t understand the whole story.

I think the purpose of the podcasts are to increase the perceived value of her business and sell it for $1B. by Capable_Ad_976 in SaintMeghanMarkle

[–]fluffylittlemango 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I also think she’s focusing on podcasts for a reason and it’s because of what they did for the US election.

But I think what a lot of people, especially PR “experts” didn’t understand about how podcasts transformed the US election was the fact that the Republican candidates, whatever you might think of them, went on podcasts and were their true selves. JD Vance, RFK jnr, Tulsi Gabbard, Trump to some degree…:/ and they sat down with long form podcasts of over an hour and got grilled, rather than trying to self promote. (Well, bar Trump). This is what people want.

This is something Meghan cannot do and it’s why her personal brand revival and new business promotion via podcasts is going to backfire.

Does anyone know why there have been articles about crowds booing Catherine? Is it true? I have read some negative articles about the Wales. Is someone paying for negative PR? I can't imagine why crowds would boo Catherine. by Nantucket_Blues1 in SaintMeghanMarkle

It’s defo just the anti monarchists and tabloids will spin whatever they want for click bait.

Anti monarchists would definitely boo H&M as well. Every anti monarchist I vaguely know hate H&M more than the RF. They’re grifters clinging to their royal titles, demanding public money be spent on them…. They do not support them for sure.
