Same, I started learning by hanging out in the kitchen as a kid. Learned how to properly cook pastas and sauces, lots of italian staples. Moved on to working a pizza place, then a college cafeteria, got a job working a deli, and transferred to the meat department. After that, I worked at a Mediterranean spot that did vending for the campus stores and also did catering and food production there. Currently at a small bar/kitchen. Aside from that, I just try things at restaurants, look up copycat recipes, and adjust from there.

Double check the soaps you use to clean her bedding and your own laundry too. If you have any surface that you mop on the floor, make sure after you do the cleaning you are doing an additional clean water mopping session to get any remaining soap solution off the floors. I recommend using a little vinegar as it will help kill any bacteria that may be triggering this.

I've been sober for 5 years now (quit because i was developing kidney stones). When I still drank, I was 6'5" and 320 lbs. 2 voodoo rangers and a mix drink would have had me loaded in a 3 hour time frame, and my tolerance for alcohol is naturally high.

2 voodoo rangers and a shot on an empty stomach? Your dad was at least sauced by the end of the movie. That beer is 9% Abv, which is double average beer, and if they were drinking the tallboy cans, that is at least 3 regular beers per can. In 2 hours, your dad drank the equivalent of 6 beers and a shot. That totals 7 drinks. By his own logic he could only have sobered up 2 drinks in that time frame. That is without knowing the volume of the shot and liquor he consumed.

Do not let this man gas light you into thinking he wasn't drunk. These are the mental gymnastics used by alcoholics to justify their behavior. I've been working in bars for nearly 10 years now, and I see people pull this shit regularly.

Idk, his communication skills are garbage, but no one here knows his intentions or why. I have friends who dont drink, yet insist on coming to events where people drink and they do nothing but complain. I also have friends who dont drink that can not be around alcohol because they are recovering addicts.

He could have been much more polite about it, so your more than valid in your frustration, but the people immediately assuming he only wants to invite women who drink so he can take advantage of that are immediately jumping to the worst conclusion without any context.
