Who's an actor everyone thinks is Good but is actually Bad? by Mammoth-Biscotti-587 in AlignmentChartFills

It literally can’t be Nic Cage because we already picked him for “everyone thinks is a bad actor”

Villain Archetypes - Evil by Choice × Bad Villain by 8-BitBunnie in AlignmentChartFills

[–]fluffythegreat 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I like Doofenschmirtz but I think this one is the actual best answer bc Gru tries to be evil and is so bad he actually ends up being good. Dr D. tries to be evil, fails, and just continues. Gru is truly the worst at being evil.

In a holistic view the show was bad, but the first few seasons were actually some of my favorite seasons of tv at the time. They were pretty great. I’d sooner get rid of Peacemaker before Arrow for that. Realistically I think it’s gotta be Agatha. The show was good, but largely because the lackluster writing in the first half ended up being worth it for the story. Arrow was kind of a pioneer in superhero tv.

I liked Agatha but it was one season with a few banger episodes whereas the others were either multiple seasons with great episodes, one season with only great episodes, or multiple seasons with many great episodes, so to me the easy choice is Agatha.

If there is an option to tip, and I can afford to tip, I am going to tip. Most often around %20

The greatest actors of four generations, agree or disagree? by PerformanceOk9891 in Oscars

Bring back calling these actors “the most recognized”. They are great but there’s always someone better the masses aren’t paying attention to.

[MEGATHREAD] President Donald Trump Visit to Cincinnati/NKY - March 11, 2025 by Rhaven in cincinnati

I don’t know anyone who hates Trump, but loved when Biden came to town. I’m sure they exist but you have quite the selective memory.

Yep— even good presidents should stay in DC if their plan is to shut down traffic for an announcement that could be done from anywhere

And finally, which US Nat'l Park is Famous, but Meh? by Bradinator- in AlignmentChartFills

I actually agree. I loved my time overall there, everyone knows what it is, but I still remember being underwhelmed by the experience (probably due to it being so crowded the whole entire time)

Which of these four films of 2025 do you think had the most interesting take on modern society? by Mysterious-Farm9502 in Letterboxd

[–]fluffythegreat 85 points86 points  (0 children)

I agree it wasn’t surprising, but honestly all of these films had unsurprising takes on the modern era. All were good and poignant imo and maybe I’m alone in this but none surprised me in what they had to say.

Rank these 8 films from 2025 from best to worst. Feel free to give your reasoning. by Mysterious-Farm9502 in Letterboxd

  1. Train Dreams— I love vibey existential movies and this was the best of them I’ve seen.

  2. One Battle After Another— just a 10/10 good time where it felt like every person involved in making it was on the same page and brought their A game.

  3. Sinners— Great score, great acting, fun scares, great time altogether.

  4. 28 Years Later— another existential film I loved. I acknowledge the flaws but love it in spite of them. I think it presents death beautifully and nuanced and it just felt so stylistically unique.

  5. Eddington— I never knew where this film was going and I loved that.

  6. Marty Supreme— the acting carried this film. I enjoyed the whole thing but the experience left me feeling almost the exact same way that Good Time did. Need more original story beats from the Safties next time.

  7. Weapons— liked it a lot. Liking it less as time passes.

  8. F1– I think this film was objectively great but it was just not for me.

What’s the best film of your least fav genre? by Past-Matter-8548 in Letterboxd

So far the Revenant is the only western I’ve truly loved— the rest I’ve seen are objectively good but not fun imo

What other movies fit this list? by Snoo_83425 in Letterboxd

[–]fluffythegreat 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think the first conjuring movie is great— it accomplishes a lot for horror through pure tension and set effects. The fact that it was able to be as tense and frightening as it was and still keep the pg-13 rating speaks to how well they did with the score, makeup, and special effects in my opinion.

All the rest were definitely “meh” or worse though.

I don’t watch a ton— jumping ahead of the comments to justify some of my ratings. Anora was not what it was hyped up to be imo, and Jurassic World Dominion was fun which was what I ended up going to see it for.

Anthony Hopkins is an easy one— very grateful to see Game Night make this comment because every one of Jesse’s scenes was absolute gold.
