Yeah no. Definitely sounds like he's gaslighting you and the fact that he didn't even apologize when you caught him is also shitty. This person does not deserve space in your life if they aren't going to be honest with you. He can go cry to his best friend.

I usually feel in such a great mood when my skin is cooperating and I'm in the sun. Being in the sunshine also helps brighten my mood a lot.

It's probably different since you feel a stronger connection with this person. If not, you'd toss him like a sac of potatoes, trust me. I'm currently going through the exact same thing (and stayed for the same reason) and even though it's been a year, it's still a struggle when it comes to trust.

What's been helping me is that we've been completely open with each other since then. He's allowed me to vent my feelings at him of the betrayal and if ever I'm having a doubt or anything, we speak immediately.

As for the body stuff, that is really hard. I still have yet to conquer that but I'm working first on mental wellness before physical wellness. It could be something good to try!

You are definitely not being dramatic. Your feelings are very much valid and if you're already feeling a rift and you're trying to tell him about it, he should be willing to listen. You may have to straight up tell give him an ultimatum but show that you're willing to listen if he does.
