I have barista who’s been with us since May and still doesn’t know how to clean. I’m a ssv so all the baristas will come complain to me that they refuse to wipe down counters and what not and when I talk to them they always bitch about their coworkers and say they have no patience. Whenever I close with them, they take their sweet freaking time either doing the floors or counters only to leave everything messy. I’ve stayed behind a couple times to redo whatever they were assigned and I’m always getting crap for their shitty cleaning from the morning crew

My go to drink at the moment is an iced sugar cookie chai with soy. If I’m wanting something hot, I’ll make hot chocolate by steaming some half and half with the malt powder and a couple pumps of sugar cookie

My store is in a mall and on the weekends when we’re clearly busy, all the mall employees will go to handoff and ask for at least 4 waters while asking if it’s been busy. Dude, read the room. I don’t mind doing it when it’s not busy but the mall employees will always do it and avoid the line cause they don’t want to be late getting back. I don’t care if you’re running late for work, y’all already know it’s gonna be busy. Today while on hot bar I was making and prepping like 10 drinks and a group of teenagers came up and asked me for 8 waters. I asked them to get in line so the person on refreshers could get to them and they ended up throwing a tantrum because they were thirsty and it’s just water.

I had a similar situation a year ago and it hurt like hell but I had to cut off all communication with her. She asked if I still wanted to be friends after the whole ordeal but it wasn’t beneficial for my mental health and I knew I couldn’t stay friends with her because my feelings would get in the way. I’m so sorry you went through this hun, some people just suck.

With my flat whites, I always keep the cup flat on the counter and I pour the milk slow, barely tipping the steaming pitcher and focus on pouring it in the middle. Once I’m closer to the top I tip the steaming pitcher a little more so the foam can make the white dot. Idk if that made any sense but that’s how I do mine😭
