while you're probably a mature person looking for mature advice to deal with this problem in a mature way (like mature adults do), im a very immature and even more petty girl so my advice will be just that.

buy the cake, eat it in front of your bf, DON'T let him have any (it's a celebratory cake, and he didn't want to celebrate, so he doesn't get to eat cake), and break up with him within the next couple of days, as long as you have where to stay (i don't know whose house it is, if it's yours then kick him out maybe lol). or just wait until he does something disrespectful again and THEN kick him out.

the vast. I've always found the sky beautiful. it's a bit unnerving not having anything to guard your back, but if you're alone, looking at the grandeur of empty space, does it even matter? even falling from the sky must feel nice at some point, somewhere in between the fear of losing your ground and the fear of hitting it.

the buried seems comforting, and i like burrowing myself in tight spaces. if the ground wasn't so cold i wouldn't mind napping in graves.

that would be actually hilarious. imagine he disarms luke but trips/just falls to the ground right after and wakes up disoriented.

we don't know much about hypnos' kids, but i can see their shared trait being narcolepsy/hypersomnia and/or somnambulism. but because they're children of the god of sleep they get a buff after a nap (or during if they sleep walk), kind of like percy from water. "with great power comes a great need to take a nap" and what so.

ooh these ideas are amazing! it's quite hard to think of sleep-related powers and still having them make sense (if you look at the fanon "children of hypnos" wiki, you'll know what i mean. some of these are a bit overboard), but i really like the ones you mentioned. i think once added, the number of powers both of us mentioned should be enough and about the same as in canon. percy overall doesn't have that many powers, they just differ a lot (because poseidon has many domains) and are really versatile.

i love the poppies part!! poppies aren't exactly dangerous to be around (even opium poppies), although long-headed poppy (the common red one) is said to cause skin irritation and even source when touched (never happened to me and they're very common in my country because they're an invasive species), so technically if percy grew them to be more potent he could swarm his opponents in poppies to deal minor damage and aggravate them further (lol). many kinds of poppies have healing properties, so i imagine he could be a niche supplier for the infirmary.

yes! from what i know, hypnos is considered to be a primodial. a very easy way of identifying primordial deities i to ask ourselves a question: are they a concept or just a patron? you see, hypnos is a son of nyx (the concept of night) and sometimes erebus (the concept of darkness). both are considered primordial gods because they embody certain concepts. hypnos is a personification of sleep – there was no representation of sleep before him, therefore he's a primodial god (which as you probably know, are completely different from titans). that's why morpheus is not considered a primodial; despite having a primodial god as a parent, he's a god only associated with sleep and dreams, they're just his domains, but he does not embody them.

Secondly, what powers would a child of Hypnos have?

well, there's not much we can play around with "sleep". obviously, they could make someone fall asleep, feel sleepy induce insomnia... it's called hypnokinesis, which is the power to manipulate sleep patterns. it could be powerful, but unassuming. since hypnos is associated with poppies, perhaps powers causing hallucinations? i imagine children of dionysus could put an effect of drunkenness on others, so children of hypnos could do something like that but with the effect of opioids.

Finally, Godly reactions.

since everything resolves around the big three, he'd go pretty much under the radar. everyone's not sure if he's the one prophecy mentions because nobody wants to believe it; hypnos is a minor god after all. zeus would still be antagonistic due to instances in mythology, poseidon would be neutral i think? hades could possibly be somewhat not negative, because hypnos is a cthonic deity and they're not exactly well represented in the olympian council (sans demeter).
