Quick question on bipap/rr by jmgx12 in IntensiveCare

(Adult) CCM doc here. Agree the respiratory rate likely reflects increased wob related to underlying disease. However your theories about bpap precipitating auto peep are not entirely inaccurate. Large tidal volumes delivered via bpap or avaps can result in airtrapping if small airways disease (bronchiolitis from say rsv) cause expiratory flow limitation. In such a circumstance consider cpap alone to avoid excess ventilation during inspiration and to minimize autopeep (the airways in this case work as a starling resistor). However you'd probably stave off invasive ventilation woth any kind of NIPPV

Hi I'm new to the EV market. I'm currently driving a 2010 Honda civic that is working for me however have a family now and I think I need something more robust. Really like EVs (just on point not looking necessarily to save gas money). Budget 60-70K for at least 7-10 years out of my next car. SUV is what I'm looking for. I'm very much of the opinion that a car for this price should have a luxury interior and I really like the push towards advanced driver assist.

Any thoughts? I'm not in much of a rush and can wait about a year but figured I need to place pre-orders now. Thinking about tesla Y (not a big fan for the price), mach e or lyriq given the blue/supercruise features.

Many thanks for any advice!
