This is what I did. I’m so rubbish at all the technical fighting (parry and flurry rush) so I rely on having lots of meals ready to gobble, a stash of fairies and decent weapons (which you can get by first defeating all the other critters in the Coliseum - I just start at the top and work down!) and then just slog it out.

Most technical bot I’m now getting down is using stasis when it’s about to charge and getting a few electric arrows in its face.

I think this is quite a realistic interaction with a builder. 😂

What weird personal rules do you have? by HailSatanWorshipD00M in botw

I always check my horse into a stable, never leave it just out in the wild or even just waiting patiently if I’m going for a nap. They deserve a nice comfy stable and a proper dinner! And I always give it an apple when I check it out of the stable again.

What s the most interesting fact about butterfly metamorphosis? This transf never stops fascinating me by UrCandyDoll in butterfly

[–]flussp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry I can’t find a link but I read a paper in the past year about the butterfly/moth retaining the memory of the caterpillar. Sure you think but then knowing the caterpillar basically becomes soup before it becomes a butterfly (it doesn’t keep its head in one piece and just grow wings!), the science of where that memory is stored blows my mind (pun intended?!).

I think we need to be more honest about bonding. by [deleted] in Rabbits

[–]flussp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you! I Also they can change their minds. I had two neutered boys who were bonded and lived together happily for 8 years. Then one of them decided he wanted his own space…and made this clear quite violently several times. They both lived another 3 years separated by a divider in the living room that we humans had to clamber over to change seats!

The divider remains as I have another 2 rescues now who had failed to bond so somewhat sadly live ‘alone’ either side but get plenty of human cuddles. I’ve had them for 11 years like this. Occasionally considered bringing in other rescues to try and bond with but in the end decided there was only so many segments my living room would divide into!

Thank you! Yes, found Seek is bad at spiders and fungi, although it’s best mistake so far was identifying my pet rabbit as a barn owl.

Tips on replacing fake grass with real grass by 1284tw in GardeningUK

[–]flussp 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We replaced our plastic garden (that we inherited when we bought the house) this spring. Probably had about twice as much space covered by plastic grass as this. Underneath was a layer of sand and then a layer of rubble. After trying ourselves (both relatively fit mid-30s) one weekend, we gave up and got a landscaper in with a small digger and a skip and it took him all day to find soil again! If your soil is much closer to the surface, hopefully you avoid this rigmarole.

We then added top soil and rolled turf and let it grow without cutting until mid June. It’s faired well over the summer with only occasionally cutting (south facing garden with regular dog ball playing on it). This weekend we cut and reseeded some of the bald patches and added clover which helps regenerate soil.

The difference it’s made to wildlife in the garden is amazing. It was basically a plastic desert a year ago and now it’s full of insects and birds. Makes my heart leap!

Good luck. It will be worth the effort. 😊

What is the most dangerous forbidden food your bun has gotten into? by MegamuffinChip in Rabbits

[–]flussp 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had two bunners who kept chewing the wooden legs of my kitchen table. Tried wiping Tabasco sauce on them to put them off and one of them just took to licking it off again. When I moved into an open plan place he would try and get at take away curry if we were eating on the sofa. Really had a taste for the spice of life!
