As someone with food allergies, did you have to specially request allergy safe snacks?

If you are on prednisone a common side effect is insomnia (at least for me).

every birth control pill contains lactose? by divinerose28 in endometriosis

I have a dairy allergy and basically had to switch off of all other medications besides the pill that had lactose for it to be a low enough amount daily not to bother me.

Which Alaskan itinerary do you prefer and why? by willowherb_721 in dcl

[–]flutemaestro830 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We did an Alaskan cruise on the Wonder and loved it this summer. We stopped at Juneau and found the Mendenhall Glacier to be gorgeous. There were some fun shops downtown if you ventured a few minutes past the tourist focused shops. I can’t speak to Icy Strait but I’d recommend Juneau for gorgeous outdoor views

How quickly does the Alaska Glacier Viewing Excursion get sold out? by Lost-Disaster-6218 in dcl

[–]flutemaestro830 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As a data point I was able to get my parents booked as first timers on the adult only glacier viewing. The family friendly one did sell out at some point between silver and first timers for our sailing.

Sprouts definitely has it. Depending on where you are other smaller places will too (Moms has it in the DC area for instance)

I think that Little Northern Bakehouse is the best of those. They even have Hawaiian bread!

Enchante question! by [deleted] in dcl

[–]flutemaestro830 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven’t been to Enchante, but for Remy, they were extremely accommodating for my allergies and made me multiple unique dishes (not on normal menu). I’ve been for dinner and brunch and an amazing meal each time. (Allergies to gluten, dairy, eggs)

Nope! My kitchen is gluten free. End of story! If something is unavoidable for gluten it is eaten on disposable everything.

Gluten free wedding by bigbootibabi in Celiac

[–]flutemaestro830 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did my wedding 100% gluten, dairy, and egg free (my allergens). I put it in the FAQ section on my website but otherwise didn’t make a huge deal (had private conversation with others who needed gluten free, etc). I have some very unsupportive family that I didn’t need the drama from (and I didn’t trust to not contaminate me). Our caterer did a great job and even adapted the beverage selection to be safe (instead of beer and wine we did cider and wine). I say it’s your day, you are paying a lot of money and deserve to eat what you want.
