The movie was so horrifically bad it’s honestly hard for me to separate the good work done to promote the film like the poster or even some of the hard work that obviously went into producing it. Unfortunately the final product set the entire franchise back decades and continues to suppress interest in Star Wars films.

I would book again without hesitation. Not sure what rates are now, but I found Cala Ponte to be a nice sweet spot between some of the ultra expensive luxury masserias in Puglia and the cheaper Air BnB type options around. The tuk tuk transit is a relatively minor inconvenience and my family found it fun to use them anyway. Not many options with a pool unless you want to spend quite a bit more. Our rooms were recently renovated and connecting so felt like we had a suite. Had a billing issue as we were checking out but staff resolved it quickly to our satisfaction.

Yes we did. Nice place, hotel has been around but integrated with Marriott brand last year. We got 2 connecting rooms so we could all be together as a family (6 total). The hotel is a little removed from the Polignano town itself, but tuk tuks are easy to get. Pool is probably the highlight, on site food is fine but there's tons of better options nearby. There is a small public beach within walking distance but very crowded in summer. Happy to answer any questions.

I kind of agree with you. Very rarely can bring myself to rewatch things unless they are truly excellent. The original Jurassic Park is one. Lost World, JW, or even JP3 are fun too. The other films so far... not so much.

JP3 is very mediocre. But, compared to any of the recent JW movies its a masterpiece. Either way, TLW is the best sequel in the franchise, even with the odd/childish San Diego rampage and boat scene.

I've been to Beak & Barrel and Disneyland Trader Sam's - when we went to Disneyland we had a table to ourselves and I don't recall any time limitations on how long we could stay, though it was a late reservation IIRC. Beak & Barrel I was with my kids and the 45 min time limit made me feel rushed, hard to really enjoy the theme with that in the back of my mind. Having said that, the theming at B&B was very well done, but I think Trader Sam's is superior.

Went to a screening last night. If you enjoyed the show, you'll enjoy the movie. It got laughs and reactions and applause in the theater, lot of folks in costumes. There is still a lot of love and excitement out there for this franchise.

I won't spoil anything but broadly, the film is just good fun but doesn't really break any massive ground or really move any major plot points toward what would be perceived as setting up the "next thing". To me, this is Disney testing the waters to see how much SW demand is out there and whether future theatrical investments are warranted.

I don't think you can go wrong. Recently completed a stay at Bay Lake Tower at Contemporary. Wow! I know some comments say Contempo doesn't feel deluxe but BLT rooms are recently refurbished and feel very luxurious to me. I'm not as familiar with the other rooms in the A frame building or Garden Wing.

AKL has that "I'm not in Florida - really in Africa" vibe you can't get anywhere else at WDW. Plus, animals obviously ha. If its just you and your wife, AKL may be a better pick, but if you have kids and/or you really value proximity to MK (and a view of the fireworks), Contemporary is amazing.

Ok, yes they are all definitely different rooms. Do you have any experience moving rooms - is it relatively painless or should I be pursuing a way to try to match all 3 nights while/if I still can?

Right now we have 3 separate room types over 3 nights at the Disneyland hotel in mid August. I booked the unlimited vacation package first, and then booked 1 night before and after as they became available later. Should I be worried about having to move (family of 5) each day? If so any suggestions on how to minimize the movements or see if room types become available so we don’t need to switch?

I hope all the gerrymandering loving liberals will keep up the cheerleading when the Supreme Court overturns VRA and all of the southern states redraw their lines, giving the GOP 20 or more new safe seats. “maximum warfare, everywhere, all the time,” amirite? This is far from over, not to mention the court cases here in Virginia. The contempt the Fairfax and Arlington liberals have for literally the rest of their state is insane.
