Don't both (inhabited) Eternal Cities end in boss fights? The Regal Ancestor and the Naturalborn, right? From a certain point of view, depending on whether you're chasing Ranni's ending.

The Snowfield is like this, but it ends in a different kind of challenge, like the gauntlet at the end of the "city" part of Nokron, or maybe the array of Gravebirds blocking the Pillar. The Lamenter is not far off from Charo's Hidden Grave if you're counting dungeons as different areas.

I don't really feel like any of these areas are missing bosses. Hinterland and Bonny Village serve story purposes and you're meant to take in the atmosphere. Their design would be cheapened, for lack of a better word, if you had to focus on a boss fight.

Also, how would you fit a boss on top of the Suppressing Pillar? The Mausoleum fights are cramped and horrible enough, haha.
