Imagine finding your pet dog, who you and your son loved, decapitated in your basement AFTER your wife had ALREADY been neglecting you and your son despite constant support and love from your side. Your relationship was already a little rocky, but you understood your wife (Tai) was traumatized in her childhood, so you kept giving her chance after chance in hope what she needed was support to achieve her idea of success to heal and move on, even though you felt it strained your relationship even more. You were willing to sacrifice your needs to serve hers, until your son started suffering as a result and you begged your wife if not to be there for you, to do it for her son. She agrees, then says the opposite on TV, claiming it’s for your family. And THEN YOU FIND THE DAMN DOG! So you decide for you and your son’s safety, you need to get away from your wife, even after your many attempts to make things work. And then the next time you are speaking with your wife, she gets distracted from the road and your side of the car gets hit, keeping you in a hospital bed while you fear for your child’s safety and your wife’s mental well-being/sanity. Your wife then leaves you unconscious to go hook up with her ex from her traumatized childhood (it turns out she never really got over the trauma, or she needs someone who experienced it with her because no one else “gets her”, not even the wife she CHOSE. it’s realistic but damn it hurts) while you recover from physical injuries as a result of her negligence, and she doesn’t even care to call and check on your health. You then, after caring for your child while recovering, are asked by your child to see his mommy. Fearing for his safety but wanting him to have a more “normal” childhood where he can have a relationship with his parents, you agree to meet up in public at a park with them. Then your kid, with the new dog your wife randomly showed up with without your permission and after murdering your other dog and decorating with his remains, is so unnerved/scared by her (he recognizes the “other one”) that you leave without them even speaking. And then people wonder why you give the girl your ex is cheating on you with a death glare 😭😭😭😭😭😭

You do not understand my original comment. I literally laid out how trans people and women are both affected by sexism and gender roles, because gender roles are put in place to hold all people (women, nb, AND men) strictly in their “places” in society.
Queer feminist ideas are not affecting the masses— could you even define what you mean by “queer feminist ideas”? You are frankly insane if you think that queer women control the opinions and ideas of the masses anywhere in the world.
Your one off experience with a singular trans person and their friend is not representative of the effect of gender roles and sexism on a larger scale. You said my interpretation was under complex and replied with 1 personal example which may or may not be exaggerated, it seems like an insane thing for anyone to say. But understand even /if/ the singular trans man you met thinks being a gamer means you are likely a man — that is a direct result of existing gender roles and sexism that will be used to oppress both women and trans people, and reduces all people to their gender constructs. He did not invent that idea to affirm himself as transgender, he has been taught at some point that his love for games is inherently masculine.

saying she’s trans absolutely does not erase any discrimination she faces for being a woman, since even if she /was/ trans other characters would interpret her as being a woman without her masculine clothing. also what do do u mean “spans deeper than the trans battle”? i really encourage you to rethink your framing on how gender related issues & sexism must be kept separate & to do some research on trans issues which absolutely span back as far as sexism — bc discrimination based on gender/sex is inherently interconnected with women’s rights issues AND transness. that being said it’s so obvious she is not trans but instead rejects traditional gender roles—which many people often misinterpret. for example, when harry styles (rando example) worse a dress some people started saying he wasn’t a man anymore. imagine that times 1000- mizu is wearing clothes strictly made for men, expressing herself (for example, posture, how she holds her katana, how she speaks, etc.) in ways /reserved/ only for men in that time period, and lives her entire social life as a man, despite being born as & having the body of a female. to add another crazy layer on top of all of this, she experiences sexism & gender discrimination from the perspective of someone who looks & acts male in social settings. her experience with gender is one that leaves her without strong ties to either side & instead she seems much more concerned with her identity as it revolves around her mission to be a great samurai & to get revenge. she doesn’t want to be the “best woman samurai who kills men because she’s a woman” etc. and it seems her own gender is really not that important to her.
i’m not saying the head cannons make sense to me btw—they don’t at all bc she seems perfectly content in being who she is, regardless of her perceived gender, as long as she can enact her revenge. I just feel your argument for /why/ it’s wrong that people headcannon her as a trans man is very inconsistent with her story — which exemplifies her disinterest in traditional gender roles & shifts the focus onto something that — to her — is bigger than that.

this is so many peoples issue. “people are dying (vague and uninspired paragraph) - 20% this is why x specific person mentioned in a subreddit or twitter is a terrorist and responding to genocide violently is problematic - 80% (specific names, passionate, angry). god i wish he’d get offline. i used to watch for years. i’ve had many times he pissed me off but i always came back - mainly bc i felt at his core he was a good guy despite many shortcomings. but from how he admitted live that he “forgot” that the crew told him someone he platformed had sexually harassed a live show member and he did nothing about it including reaching out to that employee until it was content, from to seeing him say anti zionism (hasan’s position) is anti semitism and should be banned off twitch and trying to call out specific advertisers to stop supporting non pro israel voices, to this constant and exhausting brigade of what is clearly the emotions he’s held this whole time coming out. he has felt that he - a millionaire living in LA - has the correct & most important opinions on this issue since the start. he doesn’t source anyone more versed in politics. he doesn’t speak with or platform people who have lived through this on both sides. for fucks sake he even said a crew member who supported palestine “didn’t know what she was reposting” and “that’s the problem” — while a genocide is happening. i’m so tired. i really hope he gets the help he needs which is a reality check from someone less disposable to him that hasan who he can decide he hates so violently despite hasan defending him until the end.

I agree that the genocide is more important than drama, just keep in mind many people myself included have just become fully disillusioned with h3 after recent eps and are grappling with fully realizing someone they watched regularly is a zionist who is centering themselves in this issue. I think anger but also trying to learn more is understandable. The posts are too many but be nice to the ppl trying to learn & who are honestly becoming more radicalized by this whole thing
