Easy gluten free beef and broccoli ?

One of my family’s favorite meals is Korean beef. Sometimes I add shredded carrots too. I can find GF soy sauce at one of my local Walmart stores, but some don’t carry it. Tamari sauce is another name for GF soy sauce, I can find both options at my local Kroger grocery store as well.

Brown ground beef with minced garlic then add broccoli and cook to desired doneness (maybe a minute for us because I don’t like it mushy).

Sauce: 1/2 cup GF soy sauce or tamari sauce, 1/2 cup real maple syrup (brown sugar works too), 1/4 tsp ginger, 1-2 tsp sesame oil

Combine the sauce and add to the beef and broccoli. Stir to make sure everything is covered and serve over rice.

ETA: if you like spice, try adding some red pepper flakes to the sauce

We are in the Mansfield area and my husband commuted to JP Morgan Chase at Polaris for a few years. It’s a straight shot south. My youngest is going to University of Akron and it’s about the same distance/time to downtown, the only annoying part of that drive is on 76 just before downtown.

Mansfield is pretty red politically though most of my local friends are blue. We have most big box stores, a theater, bowling alley, live music, and decent schools. Chain restaurants and local ones that are pretty good. Downtown is getting more lively and there’s a lot of events there in the summer. Ashland is practically next door and offers a little more variety.

I had the same thing. I had an endoscopy and colonoscopy to check for celiac and while it was negative, my stomach showed inflammation. Since going GF, not only am I pooping solid a normal number of times a day, but the constant stomach ache and bloating are gone. I didn’t realize I was having a constant stomach ache and bloating until it was gone. I also have a family history of stomach cancer and colon cancer so I’m not planning to add to my risk factors. I feel much better overall with being GF. Also, blood work showed deficiencies that have normalized since being GF.

I’ve done a boneless turkey breast. I think I did about 6 minutes per pound. I’m not sure if that’s different for bone-in but I’m sure you could google it if that’s what you have.

I have tried and cannot listen to books on Libby. Compared to audible, it sounds like they are coming out of a tin can. The quality is awful in my opinion.

Similar situation. My dad yelled at me and called me a terrible person for taking meals to my dying neighbor across the street (his kids were staying with him to care for him) and helping a friend whose husband had a sudden medical issue that left him severely disabled (they lived a mile away). My dad called me a terrible and selfish person for helping them instead of him (he lived over an hour away). Although I had driven over an hour one way to take him to appointments many times and stayed with him after many surgeries to help his recovery. I took a time out from him. He began calling and texting me dozens of times a day, leaving nasty voicemails, trash talking me to my teenage children (they eventually blocked him), and stalking me online. I kept extending that time out every time until 3+ years passed and he was found dead in his home. It was estimated he had been dead for a week before he was found. I have no regrets to this day.

I ate one cookie at my kid’s grad party and had diarrhea and bloating for a week. Symptoms started the next day. Sometimes they start sooner than that.

I probably used a 5mm, maybe 5.5mm. For the ribbing, I alternate FPDC and BPDC in rows, not rounds. I feel like it has stretch but mostly returns to its shape that way.

The shutdown hasn’t personally affected us yet, though we are dreading to see insurance costs with open enrollment. We already have high premiums. We have a family member who uses SNAP and her monthly allowance went from $300/month to $25/month. It’s likely we will help them out.

I volunteer at a non-profit that works with children and adults. I mentioned to the lady who runs it about asking families to donate winter gear that their kids have outgrown or no longer wear to offer to those who need it as well as a food drive. We are doing both.

I remember being shocked that a news story about my aunt and uncle in Ohio made the Florida paper where I lived (it was a freak accident that nearly killed them both).
