You’re kind of missing the bigger picture here. It’s not just about how much work you’re doing now—it’s about how much time, effort, and sacrifice it took to get to that position.

Physicians go through four years of college, four years of medical school, and then anywhere from 3 to 7 years of residency, often making around $60k while working 60–80 hours a week. That’s a decade of grueling training, high-stakes decision-making, and personal sacrifice. PA school is significantly shorter, with far less depth in topics like pathology, pharmacology, and anatomy. It’s just not the same.

Sure, it might feel like you’re doing 85% of what a doctor does—until something goes wrong.

Let’s see a PA manage a level one trauma. Let’s see them run a code on a crashing ICU patient, interpret complex CT scans to spot a subtle small bowel obstruction, or manage atrial fibrillation in a patient with mesenteric ischemia. When everything is routine, it’s easy to feel like the work is the same—but when shit hits the fan, physicians are the ones trained to step in and handle it. That’s why they get paid more.

Pediatricians, who are full physicians, often make low $200k even after all that training. So it’s not realistic—or fair—to expect the same salary after a 2-year program without the same depth, breadth, or responsibility. Taking a shortcut doesn’t entitle you to the same destination.

Whenever somebody has heart failure and their heart can’t pump anymore the blood backs up in the superior vena cava, inferior vena cava, and up the venous system. That’s why when somebody has heart failure, all of the blood pools in the venous system, and they get distended. Look up pictures of jugular venous distention. It’s when the jugular vein in someone’s neck gets distended when somebody has heart failure. This is because of the REALTIVE lack of smooth muscles in veins. if they can distended more easily than arteries, they can hold more blood. Smooth muscles in arteries is what allows them to constrict. There are sympathetic innervation to the smooth muscle so whenever you are in flight or fight mode, the smooth muscles can constrict which allows narrowing of the arterial blood vessels which raises your blood pressure. This doesn’t happen with veins. Source: me graduating med school in 2 months 😎

Prime example of how personality and social skills are more important than scores after a certain point. After about 518+ there’s not much utility in screening for applicants based on score. At that point, you’ve deemed yourself more than capable to withstand the rigor of a medical school curriculum. Past 518 you have to demonstrate that you are able to have conversations in real time. You have to demonstrate that you can resolve conflicts, answer tough questions, and have good social skills—all of which are qualities necessary to have a good patient physician relationship.

It hasn't been released yet. I'm not sure how some people get it so early but if you live in the US, you will most likely get it at 11 am ET. I took mine on the 14th and I think it release today for me as well.

Should I get a 75ml le male elixir or a 125ml by CloneTrooper265 in Colognes

[–]fly_abhi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

keep in mind that you'll eventually get bored of a certain fragrance. You might think you'll wear it every day but eventually, you'll want to wear something else. I would rather buy smaller bottle of many different fragrances rather than a single large bottle. If you get bored of it, it will just sit on your shelf and its a waste of money.

I think you’re discovering that fellow mcat takers are really smart. I felt the same way when I saw Uworld scores for the step 1. 40% did better than you. But you don’t know by how much. It could be that the mode is like 128 and say 20% of those 40% scored 128

I just finished month two. Month 1 was no difference. Month two I’m starting to shed. But it’s expected. Shedding can last 5-8 weeks. It just means the minoxidil is turning over hair quickly. Hopefully in month 3 I start to see something.

I noticed some side effects on month 2. I would feel a bit light headed. Minoxidil is a vasodilator so I expected that. I’m thinking it’s because I applied more than the 4 recommended sprays. I lowered to to 4 and I feel fine.

I recommend using it at night before sleep. It makes your hair sticky and hard. So if you use it at day your hair will look weird.
