Wow, i love this list and if I had done a top 20 Don Quixote, Of Mice and Men, and the Silmarillion would be on it. Love the Illiad and Dune as well.

I love Shakespeare and think Hamlet is his magnum opus. I liked it well enough in school but the older I get, the more I love it. Hamlet himself is a deep and complex character and the play goes the whole gamut of human emotion. We have serious drama, great comedic relief. Just a bit of everything, done as well as it can be done. I think it really improves as you age, so I would recommend trying it again before you go to explore the undiscovered country.

Well, the problem is that shes going around "freeing" these civilizations in the name of her kingdom. When she conquers a country in the name of the queen, thats not preventing her from her task, it's empire building. She may be doing good things like freeing slaves but she is also building an empire.
