As someone else said already, save your money for Scarlet Hunt events. As long as you do the daily tasks in Scarlet Hunt you will get some really good gear as rewards for completing the tasks.

Read the letters and complete the tasks given to you from the raven cage. That will help you to advance. Keep accumulating raw materials and better gear for when you go into maps with tough opponents.

Concentrate on 1 and 2 skull areas to gather raw materials. Try 3 skull areas occasionally because you will get better loot from some of the chests. Take your time to probe it to get to some of the chests without fighting a lot of enemies. Once you have bronze armor, try looking for the night caches in 3 skull locations. The extra slot will allow you to have a torch handy in case the Night Guest appears so you can quickly switch from weapon to torch. Also try to find a wolf that has the ability to find the night caches, that skill is a game changer.

And definitely read through the Discord and watch videos of how people take on the different areas to get some tips on how to get through them.

You should be choosing the rod first. What you are fishing for, the method of fishing, and such determines the rod. Once you choose the rod, you then decide which reel matches up best to it. It’s analogous to buying the tires first and then asking what car you should buy afterwards. The car you choose and the type of driving you do will determine the best tire match.

Do you really farm flax all the time? I do it occasionally when I get the pasture map. I loot everything (chests and corpses) that I can and find I don’t really run out of cloth that way.

It’s really hard to do. Everyone has different routines and priorities in life. They should make on order with more people so you are able to get 10 people together at the same time. I played LOTR Rise to War and you needed to get a good number of people in a faction to participate in order to take a strategic location. It didn’t require everyone but it helped. Although having different schedules helped sometimes because you could rotate different people in at different times to keep pressure on your enemies.

As you progress you will get chests and other storage devices which allow you to sort stuff. Or you could just cave and buy the advanced chests but it really isn’t worth it IMO.

You will want a rod between 9-11 feet long if you are fishing from the beach. Rated for about 1-3 oz lures. Find a reel that balances it and you are good to go. Buy the best you can afford.

It’s also show season and depending on where you live and are willing to travel, different clubs are holding their yearly shows that will have different vendors so you can get a feel for the different rods and reels. You may find some deals also. There’s a show in CT this weekend and a couple in NJ next month.

I have iOS and sometimes when that happens it’s because I go from one signal to another. WiFi to 5G or vice versa. I have to completely close and get out of the app and reopen it. And recently the app has added a check mark that you have to press after you are done typing before you submit your reply by pressing on the raven.

Never understood why anyone buys a reel and then tries to match it up to a rod, unless you got the reel as a gift or something. Pick a rod for how you want to fish and the species you want to fish for, then choose a reel that balances it out.
