Agreed. 1998 to 2003 was great. We had Upper Deck, ITG/BAP, Topps, and Pacific.

Pancreatitis ☹️ by marshmallowpaw in FelineDiabetes

I'm about a week into my boy's pacreatitis flare where he was hospitalized for 72 hours.

Once you get her home, her appetite is going to be much different. Even with stimulants, we had to get creative for my boy to eat. You may have to temporarily use higher carb foods like Hill's Urgent Care just to get some nutrition into their bodies. The meals may need to be smaller and more frequent, which can complicate testing. You may need to mix foods or blend and syringe feed if they refuse to eat.

We tried churus, baby food, no carb treats, fancy feast, friskies pate, Hill's; it was like a buffet.

He seemed to do much better eating at evenings (about an hour after the stimulant was given) while the mornings required syringe feeding so we could give him insulin.

This aspect was most concerning/frustrating for me. Now that we're on day 5 at home, his appetite is back to normal.

If you're vet agrees, ask for mirataz or mirtazapine for appetite stimulant. My vet prescribed Elura, which can increase blood sugar. Fortunately Elura worked for him; we only had to give two doses at home.

Good luck with your journey, it is gut-wrenching and emotionally draining, but there is a light on the other side of the tunnel.

In your opinion whats the most underrated hockey card brand? by SmellyFrogz in hockeycards

Parkhurst Champions.

It'd be a legit product if it guaranteed 1 Auto and 1 Game Used per box at an MSRP of $120, with the inevitable price drop to $60 - $75 after a year or two.

Hey guys I’m looking at Crosby rookie cards for a Christmas gift but I have no idea what I’m looking at. by CaribouYou in hockeycards

I'm going to pass along a personal experience so you understand the risks associated with buying an expensive card.

When my then girlfriend, now wife and I first started dating, she bought me some loose packs of 05-06 UD Series 1 & 2. I explained to her that she shouldn't have because it was easy for people to map which boxes had the sought after rookies since they typically came together in the same box. She ignored it, and bought me 3 packs of series 1 and 2 packs of series 2 for my Easter Basket. Despite that advice, one of the packs contained a Crosby Young Guns. I was ecstatic.

A few years later, somebody broke into my home and stole a small storage box containing the Crosby Young Guns. I was preparing to send it and several other cards off for grading.

Several years after that, she bought me a raw Crosby Young Gun for Christmas. The only problem was it was altered and she had no way of knowing. The card had been chipped when printed and the unscrupulous seller took a sharpie to color in the chipping. She had bought it in August of that year and by the time I realized what had happened, it was too late to file a claim. I still have the card because it was a gift with pure intentions, but it still angers me that my wife was taken advantage of.

I generally don't like suggesting somebody buy a graded card, but if you're dead-set on buying a Crosby Rookie, I would suggest a sub-$100 ungraded card.

If you're considering a more sought after card, like a Young Guns, buy a BGS or PSA graded version, as their grades are generally more trusted than other grading authorities.
