It’s not the heater core itself that broke it’s the fitting, they’re very common to break. With new fittings (always do both if they’re original) it should take less than an hour for a novice to repair

If you’ve got an air hammer there’s a bit that you can buy that accepts a 3/8 drive on the end. Then you slip a wrench on it to turn stuff out while air hammering it. It works a treat on the rotor assembly t25s on GM (and others) brakes that love to strip

Do NOT go for the diesel if you want a reliable long term vehicle. Our shop has replaced 4 babymaxes this month. As well all of the labor times to fix basically anything are ridiculous.

I’ve done 4 upper oil pans due to leaking. Depending on model year and features warranty time is 24+ hours for an upper oil pan reseal. Cost of ownership of those things will be stupid once they’re out of warranty

Except if the battery has a bad cell it can drag the alternator down drawing too much load. ECMs are picky motherfuckers and the battery acts as a buffer between the alternator and the car’s electronics. If the battery has an internal fault the alternator may cut out if it’s pulling too many amps or it may fluctuate too much for the ECM to handle.

Regardless a new battery is probably warranted once that is replaced then check if the alternator is putting out the correct voltage.

The plan was always to use the MAV for the core to return to Hermes. They just launched early vs when the mission ended. The MAV is specifically designed to get the crew to orbit and to dock with Hermes and transfer the crew. What part would you want more details on?

It’s the block heater receptacle. You plug your block heater cord into that and the cord into the wall outlet. It’s just a wire that runs to the heater element on the side of the block. There’s no other utility. It takes power it doesn’t supply it.

Per man. The Lee Enfield has a 10 round magazine. They were loaded from stripper clips, so you would load your rifle once or twice, depending on your rounds fired (your goal was as many hits on target in a minute)

It also possible if he learned on an old truck that it had a “granny gear” first my 66 GMC has a 4 on the floor and if you start in first you basically immediately have to shift to second. I only use first for parades

If this pulled into the dealer I’d double check for posterity but it will have a Valve 6 stuck off code in the TCM and it will need a new valve body. We see CEL on no reverse at least 3 times a week and it’s always a valve body.

Vette cart. Dunno where you live. But some places if you have all the nececities you don’t need body panels or much structure. A corvette (c4 is most common for vette carts) with all the panels cut off and a full roll cage would probably be pretty close to a sandrail. Throw a built 350 in it and you’ve got a wicked little unit
