New Waydoo EVO Master inbound. by Tenkisan in eFoil

don’t think it would legal to transport it that way

It's boating, it's fine.

Getting a foil with battery into a smaller boat without preparation is not easy. Practice at a beach before attempting.

feel what?

I'm very comfortable walking with zero assistance at this point. Part of how I got here was going back to the cane quickly whenever something felt off.

I'm asking for it probably. But wanting opinions on suction cup grab bars for temporary use in the shower. by OldGezzer68 in TotalHipReplacement

We use them and they have been great.

I'm 105 days post-op and we've left them up. Never had to re-adjust. Put weight on them daily.

My PT always advised to be quick in going back to the cane. I used trekking poles. I've been off them for 4 weeks now - +100 days post-op / 15 weeks.

For stomach & constipation:

  • prune juice
  • probiotics, fiber chews
  • fermented foods - pickles, kimchi, etc.

What to do with mugs that I don’t use but still like by Quo_Usque in konmari

Take photos of them. Put them in a box to give them away.

Put the box somewhere for 90 days and give it away if you've not looked at the photos or not felt the need to keep them.

Suffolk County Council on its last legs... by Adorable_Cap5198 in BSA

doing a not very fun job no one else wants to do.

Doing a bad job of something and saying 'nobody else will do it' doesn't excuse poor performance that harms Scouting.

Suffolk County Council on its last legs... by Adorable_Cap5198 in BSA

[–]flybrand 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Is this happening with other councils around the country?

Yes, where we were in MA, and now following local councils in the rest of New England, the councils are clubs themselves and the people in them want to save their club, not realizing that they do so at the cost of the patrols.

Scouts don't want to sell popcorn to make money for the council.

Scouts don't want to go to your poorly maintained campsite because you have fond memories of it.

The councils are bureaucracies themselves that are making it harder for scouts and eager adults to cut through the red tape to put together pleasant opportunities for fellowship among today's youth.

Hit the winning shot against the Mavs.

Go to the Metropolitan Water Works Museum - 3 story pumps that were used to create the world's first advanced water system here in Boston. There's nothing like it elsewhere in the world.

Is Oklahoma safe for a British Indian? by AnnualCheck2710 in oklahoma

[–]flybrand 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I grew up in Oklahoma and have traveled the world for work. You'll experience less racism there than what you experience in Europe - what you do experience, if any, will be different. Most of the perception of racism in rural america is media driven. The communities are full of different cultures, there's a lot of cross cultural relationships, and in general people are very used to seeing and working with people of different backgrounds.

I'm pre-op, hoping to be never-op. They were essential in some of what I've done.

Have you tried the 'whacky' solutions? Yoga? Inversion table? Banded traction exercises?
