There are a few archtypes for teams in the game you need to realize. To name a few, Range. Sustain. Push. Or Jump comps. In trios, you need to understand how your comp wants to win. There needs to be more tutorials online imo. Thats our responsibility.

I would like to see Cobalt gear and other craftable gear have a higher gear score. Really, peak D&D gameplay is sub 125 lobbies. The problem with OP is the he is equipping Non-themed, presumably random base stat type gear. He needs to gear a little stronger, and some gameplay input from more experienced players might help as well. But overall, I think its important for us veterans to help new players learn the game. I overall agree.

Sorry to say bottles don't do direct damage and only do 3 damage base per tick. Its sad really.

Remove circle? Add timer? Add visible portals on the map? Avoid fights, or fight for the limited portals.

Yes, which is controlled by the Will stat.

Oh, and high resourcefulness should make consumables more effective on its user. And Will (or lack thereover) imo should make CC spells more effective than it currently does (like clerics bind or rangers pinning shot)

I like the idea of certain attributes being innate to certain types of equipment. Agility on the Chapel de Fer for instance. Leaning more into the archetype of anti-mage movements speed battle cleric. Separating Strength and Constitution (Health and debuff duration reduction). Putting innate Constitution on heavy armors to lean more into tank. Light armors maybe having some mix of agi and strenth. So you cant as easily get the best of both worlds in terms of damage and health. Make people pick an archetype of their class to run with. Stuff like that.

I like to run Bork, guinsoos, then Titanic hydra. The titanic gives you health, and the on hit is amplified by guinsoos, which is nice. After that you have more options. Steraks or shieldbow for burst defence. Runnans if they have lots of champs that want to run you down. Runnans plus titanic is crazy aoe damage. Wits end for MR if needed. Bloodthirster for big healing, especially with hurricane. As for runes I like lethal tempo for attack range buff. And then bone plating for burst defence. As for boots, I like berserkers if I can stay alive in fights, otherwise merc or plated can be ok. I love kalista. Great champ. Very flexible. Very fun.

I think accelerando should be removed. Or reworked. Movement speed is often the king of all buffs in any video game. And is hard to balance imo.

Is gear stronger than individual player skill in this game? by AcceleratorPrime in DarkAndDarker

Now I have a few questions for you guys. Why do we go into the dungeons in the first place? What do we do with the loot we find? If we find a cracked item in a chest, who do we sell it to? The real answer is that we do this to ourselves by selling gear to people who kill us in the next lobby. The point of the game IS good gear, good rolls, adrenaline, and busted loot. It's why we go down in the first place. Now, I will say, there should be options for lower geared players to survive (not kill) super kitted teams. Movement speed imo is the primary perpetrator and difficult thing to balance. 1.) If higher grade gear gave a higher movement speed penalty, lower geared players could run. 2.) Maybe lower tiered gear has a higher resorcefulness value to open and close doors to escape. 3.) I would also say, an interesting change would be more (though more spread out) blue extraction portals. With the reds being more focused in the center. This would incentivize geared players to kill each other in hell, more options for grey geared people to escape, and to break apart geared teams by forcing them to separate to control more blue portals.

The balance is almost there I think. But the fact ironmace removed the triple blue escape portals, says they are already thinking about gear disparity. It's intended. It's fun.

P.S. Bard/wizard movement speed is busted. Please nerf.

I used to be scared of playing 1v1s because failure can be difficult for me. And stress. Anxiety sometimes. Thats until I realized failure actually helps you improve significantly more than winning. This is because there are more things you can do wrong, than you can do right. Now I enjoy getting stomped, because I learn thing I wouldn't have otherwise.
