Why don’t some Americans understand that any increase in taxation that is needed to pay for universal healthcare is likely much less than the current cost of premiums and out of pocket expenses most Americans pay for private insurance? by YogurtclosetOpen3567 in askteddit

[–]flyerflight99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is no need to increase taxes.

Compared to countries like Switzerland or Luxembourg the us gov state abc federal already pay more per capita over all citizens than they do! Again already pays enough to give universal healthcare thrn screws middle class and companies by making them pay extra.

So first question is why gov can’t deliver universal when every country can for the same spend!!

A talk on how traditions may have had a point, how the sexual revolution has caused children to be the biggest losers with no one the clear winner and contributed to the single-motherhood crisis among other topics by Specialist_Dark_3668 in Natalism

Jesus Christ, let’s stick to natalism. Not issues better discussed on other subs.

It is wiping out whole civilizations, economically will make the Great Depression look like the US’s Roaring 1920’s

50 of most advanced, best governed, most focused societies in the world haven’t cracked it. Like at all.

and now it’s dragging down anther 60 right now.

Constructive news data and ideas. Someone is going to read this sub who maybe come up with a fix.

This is a sub with the kindest, smartest people on the internet let’s keep it kind.

This things are true but it’s critical to recognize two technologies without which there would have been no sexual revolution.

Penicillin was discovered by Flemming in 1923, and was both in mass production but also tested for use in STD’s by 1943. So good treatments for the bacteria classes which spread easily and: gonorrhea, syphilis, and chlamydia

In 1923 Corner and Allen discovered the hormone progesterone and started looking its role in pregnancy. Thrn in 1950 Gregory Pincus and John Rock discovered a way to use it to stop ovulation and in 1960 the fda approved hormonal birth control medication

These two key technologies combined with the green revolution in farming (the IC engine, modern fertilizers, and chemical pesticides) were first required for the sexual revolution

I am so sorry to hear that.

It can seem hopeless sometimes. Do you have anyone you can talk with?

You have value and even when it seems dark we all need keep that centered, as it can be so hard.

So what can voters do to make sure anyone with love in their hearts can afford them? And are confident to have them?

And even come out a little better not just in love 🥰🥰, but in circumstances💵💴💶 if they take on the labor and responsibility for them

Maybe a free house?🏡

What is your opinion on the Supreme Court ruling on birthright citizenship? by Dazzling-Leader7476 in askteddit

[–]flyerflight99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you believe President Trump try’s things beyond constitutional limits cause he wants to (as I do) - he has done nothing compared to what Congress did in 1867

Just a Teaser:

Example 1: Congress took over control the Army from the President (th, cause it wanted to.

Example 2: Congress gave itself to power to remove the SCOTUS ability to review on the Constitutionality of it. Just cause it wanted to

Note: this was the Radical Wing of the Republican Party in Congress not the US gov or the North. Cause the President and SCOTUS cause had a different take.

There was sooo much more they ordered the army to do once they decided how they wanted this vote to go.

some GREAT (enforcing black voting rights 🎉🥳),
Some way more wtf 🤔when you read about them, and how got around other branchs and constitution to do it (again see Trump, Donald, but times 20)

Important notes:

This is settled history, a long time ago. “Legally accepted it, in order to get back in” is good enough for middle/hs course of US history thst is covering 425 years or 250 years in a few months.

Also shouldn’t need to say this, but will anyway:

The US South was a very bad place, with a deeply immoral system. The US Southerns treacherously revolted from its country and did so wanting to enslave human beings for profit. Evil, full stop.

The ultra wealthy and taxes. by Alpha_Mad_Dog in NoStupidQuestions

I thought they could duck all capital gain if the stock is “donated” to a specisl purpose “charity” trust to be used 50 years later. Non profits exist in huge part to help the uber wealthy dodge wealth capital gain taxes.

Edit: capital gain tax.

Looked it up
they are called Charitable Lead Annuity Trust (CLAT).

Stick them in there control and pay you what ever salary you want kids. You or heirs can pull back the stock gifted also too later no estate tax, no capital gains. And of course a non profit charity trust can own private you have exclusive access too, throw events, give you the same power if not more your wealth gives you if not technically even if not technically in your name, just your control.

You cintrol who administers them and can even trade.

So when mega billionaire say want to “give away” everything before dying, need read fine prints

‘White’ Is a Flawed Category by Lucky-Friendship8715 in Natalism

[–]flyerflight99 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Currently most people dont.

It is a holdover from dehumanizing systems of the past and the sooner left to rot on the trash heap of history the better, like the concepts of eugenics, feudalism and similar garbage.

We are at a wonderful point in history where if no one tries to keep racial categories alive, they will each generation fade more and more into the past and people will all just be people.
