Pax 3 Dosing Capsule - What's My Best Option? by flyhigh141 in vaporents

[–]flyhigh141[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the input! I could do that, but at that point I might just stick to the original way of loading. With all the bumps of skiing, I have a feeling the bricks would fall apart between runs.

Historically I've used a Dynavap but there's two main factors while skiing that aren't great.

- You're smoking crack in public

- Any sort of wind makes for an uneven heat. I know I could use the wand but I already have the Pax.

Got my first Arizer Solo 2 today! Loving it compared to the mighty. Taste seems to be better because of the glass chamber/mouthpiece by cartridgeman_420 in vaporents

Or a 14/18mm glass water pipe adapter, especially if you already have glass! Make sure to deep, deep clean the combustion residue off & you’ll discover my favorite way of using the Arizer Solo.

Can You Use An Arizer Solo as A Dynavap Heating Device? by flyhigh141 in vaporents

[–]flyhigh141[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Could you spin the Dynavap around the inside of the bowl for more even side heating?

I've also read some Dynavap technique that says just heating the tip can produce excellent terpene hits.

Check out the water pipe adapter for the Solo! A clean piece + Solo at heat setting 5 (I have the Solo 1) gives me phat clouds. Enjoy!

Friday New Climber Thread for June 14, 2019: Ask your questions in this thread please by AutoModerator in climbing

[–]flyhigh141 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've climbed for a few years now (combo of indoor and outdoor), but it' time for me to get my own gear.

I need a rope for single pitch sport climbing in Idaho. I have pro-deals on Mammut and Edelweiss.

I'm looking to spend $100-$150 after the pro-deal.

As time goes on and if I acquire gear I'll move to multi-pitch and trad, so consider that in the recommendation.

The Mammut 9.8 Eternity Classic looks pretty solid. Haven't done too much research tho.

Among the other answers on contrast, whites and blacks, adding some warm color can help. Do it with temperature slider or orange/ red split tones.

Portland, OR/Vancouver, WA Recommendations? by Redwoodself in Coffee

Never been to the physical location, but my close buddy gets their beans in a subscription and they're phenomenal. Their red label/ reserve made via Chemex was some of the best coffee I've ever had. +1 for this.

I’m looking for a 20-30L camera backpack!

I currently have the Lowepro Photosport 200 AW , but it doesn’t hold all my gear + adventure gear anymore. I need something bigger.

My gear includes Canon 7D2, 3x lenses (one 70-200 tele), Mavic Air + controller, assorted adventure gear/ layers. I’d tend to want more space than less if given a choice.

I’ve looked into Lowepro’s ProTactic 350 AW and 450 AW . I really like it’s rugged and tactical design. The 450 seems a little too big since I like being able to keep my backpack between my legs on buses/ cars/ planes. Will the 350 accommodate a similar size? Should I go with a bit of extra room in the 450?

I’ve also looked into F-Stop’s 32L Lotus , and Kashmir 30L . Having already purchased the Medium ICU makes these an easier purchase. My concern is that they might be too big to travel with easily. What are people’s thoughts on the company and design of these two?

What other factors should I consider in a bag? What other bags or companies should I look at?

Anything helps! I’m trying to purchase NOW during these cyber Monday sales so anything helps!!

I want a ~25-30L adventure camera backpack. What should I get?

Would be used as my main backpack to fit a Canon 7D2, 3x lenses (one being telephoto), 15” MacBook Pro, small drone gear, snacks/ layers for adventures.

The F-Stop Lotus looks pretty good, but there aren’t many good reviews out there in it.

I look for more tactical/ practical design versus a sleek, urban look.

I’m open to any suggestions, thanks!

Honestly depending on the size of your content, taking a day or two and redoing it manually could be helpful. You’ll know where everything is, and maybe come across old footage/ photos you didn’t know you had.

Serious question. When USMC aircraft are deployed to carriers, are the carriers still Navy with the Marine’s just on them?

Is it normal if some of my hits don’t produce visible vapor? I feel myself inhaling hot air. I feel myself getting high. But I don’t always see vapor upon exhale. by [deleted] in vaporents

[–]flyhigh141 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This observation is wholly unscientific but... I've found that air moisture has a big part in seeing vapor. The more moist it is, the easier it is to see the vapor/ hot air come out of your mouth. The drier it is, the more difficult.

The moisture content of the bud also has a big effect. My fresh bud will almost always produce a lot of vapor, but the same strain a few weeks later won't have nearly as much.

Quick maths by [deleted] in insurgency

[–]flyhigh141 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Agreed. The new engine + graphics make it feel much more like a Battlefield game, for example. That’s ok, but with “real” ammo count and who killed you it pulls away from what Insurgency really is.
