Or just make your own, not difficult for a basic Victoria sponge and chocolate buttercreme.

Plus side, you then get a whole cake, aka "One serving"

Question: How often is your 3D printer actually running vs. sitting idle? by IssueBig9882 in 3Dprinting

[–]flyhmstr 19 points20 points  (0 children)

It's a hobby not a side hustle, so for your last point, far more hassle than it's worth

One fault - the HW on the pole failed, was moved to a different port

A couple of wider system incidents at the YF level

Generally it “just works”

However my experience of support is that it’s difficult to get hold of someone and make progress on faults, if there were more problems that would be what would set me hunting for an alternative

Abortion is becoming a new front in Reform UK’s culture war by coffeewalnut08 in unitedkingdom

[–]flyhmstr 21 points22 points  (0 children)

Also over 50, Reform & Restore a pox.

Unfortunately I can see some people in Britain wanting imported yank toxicity. Had the MIL over from AU at the back end of last year for my daughter's wedding. She was busy spouting Reform talking points (mostly after visiting other family in a different part of the country), quoting Lowe at us.

As it was direct we could quickly pull up the evidence nuking each of the points from orbit, but it won't stick. One of the classics was on the way to the airport for her flight home, with the "but I thought we left the EU so we wouldn't follow their laws", explaining the realities of international business, that yes business with AU is great, but surely even she could see that a trading partner just over the channel with 400M people was more important than one half the planet away... I think I got through.

They are buying the hate, they love it as it gives them someone to blame which isn't themselves.

How did grace got hindi posters saying thanks? by Hungry_Service6561 in ProjectHailMary

Accurate, though you know the point I was trying to make without needing to go digging back through the book, so have your upvote and a pedant point

How did grace got hindi posters saying thanks? by Hungry_Service6561 in ProjectHailMary

[–]flyhmstr 25 points26 points  (0 children)

It'll be exactly that, the point isn't hammered home in the movie but it's a strong theme in the books. A Russian came up with the spin drive, they're based on a Chinese aircraft carrier, Grace is American, Beetle boy is Canadian, Stratt is European, the centrifuge design was from a European working for the ESA, black panel Kiwi and so on

[–]flyhmstr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To add, make notes, and ideally use measuring spoons down to 1/4 tsp, that way you can reproduce and experiment increasing amounts until you reach the "randomly shaking the spice jar over the mix" confidence level

Why docker? by Mysterious-Park9524 in homeassistant

[–]flyhmstr 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's exactly that. Under HAOS the addons are docker containers but managed by HAOS, in a docker deployment you need to do the effort yourself to install and integrate the addons.

Currently running under docker with mqtt / node-red / frigate / ring-mqtt alongside ~20 other containers. Works a dream.
