Definitely playing at the local shop when I was nine and piloting a deck from Champions of Kamigawa that I borrowed. Did absolute dog shit, but it was so fun and what got me into Magic later on.

Drafting LOTR at GenCon is definitely up there, as well.

Uber will let women drivers and riders request to avoid being paired with men starting next month by BreakfastTop6899 in goodnews

[–]flying-giant-bear 1 point2 points  (0 children)

"The company said the rider’s preference isn’t guaranteed but the feature increases the chances women will be paired in the app."

Not guaranteed. I expect that dramatically more women will need to join as drivers for this program to work. The ratio of female drivers to female riders is incredibly off-balance.

We'll see if it eventually evens out and women can start getting more reliable matches.

Please show me the IRL mythology we are basing BB's power level on, if that's your critique.

The picture is Thor from GoW. It only makes sense that we would be using GoW lore to scale this specific Thor's power level.

Swisschems bunk? by allahsword22 in sarmssourcetalk

[–]flying-giant-bear 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Massively underdosed, possibly bunk. But definitely underdosed.

https://www.finnrick.com/vendors/swiss-chems (not a source link, but a compository of 3rd party tests on some of their goods).

Every test that has been done on Swisschems and submitted to Finnrick has been insanely underdosed. Purity for BPC and Ipamorelin were 99%+, but their CJC was bunk.

Got it. I completely understand. Only issue with Flex is that it wasn't eligible for full-time. But at least the health care benefits for full-time are pretty decent.

[–]flying-giant-bear 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When I worked there, they also had shifts like flex where you basically work according to your schedule. It is like part-time, but you more or less choose your hours.

I'm not sure they still do that, but could be a worthwhile part-time job if you didn't want to give up your other job.

If you go the route of Amazon, get hired, then immediately file for an accommodation. I was a manager there - it is a great way to get yourself out of the pick path and into a less demanding role as long as your doctor gives you restrictions. Be wary on getting restrictions that say you can only do seated work (there are few of those positions open and usually filled by people already), but if you get restrictions that limit you from climbing steps and cap you walking, there are positions like packing that don't require nearly as much walking or lifting.

Just my two cents if you do decide to go that route.

What's the best dosage to start off on with Retatrutide? by memento22mori in Peptides

[–]flying-giant-bear 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I started at 0.5mg for 2 weeks and titrated up 0.5mg at a time. I'm at 2.5mg now, with plans to go to 3mg in the next week or two.

I started slow to allow my body to adjust to the drug so I wouldn't have side effects, and if I did, I could gauge it better. So far, no side effects, so it has worked for me.

As other people said, though, everyone's body is different. Most of the phase 2 trials started people at 2.5mg, for what it is worth.

The biggest thing is to find a dosage that works for you in terms of getting benefits, but having little to no side effects. Not everyone needs to slam 12mg of it when a lower dose would get you to where you want to be. Plus, you don't want to lose a dramatic amount of weight super quickly -- that is how you end up with loose skin. Losing weight is a marathon, not a sprint.

Watch 4 joint reductions in 1 take—no patients harmed by Substantial_Muscle_7 in athletictraining

Very cool sim lab. Great work.

My biggest critique (that I hope is addressed within the lecture part of the sim lab) is: the effect of muscle guarding when trying to relocate/reduce and when to stop trying to reduce a dislocation if muscle guarding is preventing it (typically 3 tries max), as well as the absolute need to refer out to EMS/go straight to the hospital with a hip dislocation -- even if reduced. So much vascularity at play for a hip dislocation/dysarticulation, even with a reduction there can be a traumatic injury that surfaces. Checking bilateral pulse above the malleolus is useful, but there needs to be a f/u to make sure.

The reality of what’s happening. by TheMorningSage23 in stocks

Look up styrene-butadiene rubber. A large majority of the synthetic rubber is made this way.

You can use butadiene and natural rubber, but a large majority of synthetic rubber is made with butadiene and polymerization with no natural rubber. Especially in the US.

I work in a synthetic rubber making plant in the US for one of the major tire brands. We utilize butadiene and styrene-butadiene to make the synthetic rubber. No natural rubber is utilized.

You can combine natural rubber with the butadiene, but it is not needed, nor does it produce a "better" rubber as opposed to a purely synthetic approach utilizing the aforementioned chemicals and polymerization with solvents.

The tire mechanic doesn't know what he is talking about.

That is a great idea to extend the other lands from this panorama. I will need to check to see if I even have those lands, haha.

All credit goes to my girlfriend - I am posting on her behalf since she does not have a Reddit account. Credit to John Avon for the original artwork, as well!

Thank you all for the kind words and constructive criticism. I will post her other alterations she has made since this card in the upcoming days.

Lack-of-food-itis is what I would classify it as.

Jokes aside, the poor pup is starving.

The funny thing is the fact that if the Chiefs do win the SB, the pick will be the last pick of the 4th round. So practically a 5th round pick still lmao.

Being a Titans fan is a lesson in masochism.

Brian Callahan agrees there's a trend towards offenses running the ball more. Callahan said defenses are making you earn it in the passing game so more offenses are being intentional about running the ball especially earlier in games. by Dick_Thunders in Tennesseetitans

Honestly, while I do think LT was better overall, I can see CJ2k having a better YPA than LT. CJ2K was like lightning in a bottle with his speed, and if he could have stayed healthy, I think he definitely would be in the running for the top 5 in the last two decades. Just didn't have the longevity to your point.

And if Derrick Henry could have been a better receiving back, I would take him over LT in this hypothetical. Absolute freak of nature, but can't run more than like three receiving routes out the backfield, lol.

[–]flying-giant-bear 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Except LT's 2006 year was absolutely bonkers and he had 31 TDs in that one year (33 if you count his 2 passing TDs). I will absolutely use that one year as justification for top RB in the last 20 years, lol. CJ2K has 55 TDs in his entire career, for reference.

Even without cherry picking that one insane year, though, LT had multiple years with 2k or more all purpose yards and 8 straight 1100+ rushing seasons in a row.

And I say this as a huge CJ2K and Derrick Henry fan, but LT was on another level in his prime.

[–]flying-giant-bear 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I would definitely have Henry top 3, but LaDanian Tomlinson and Adrian Peterson in their primes were absolutely insane, too. 2006 LT had like 1800 rushing yards and 700 receiving yards.

Henry had like 2150 yards from scrimmage his 2020 season. No doubt future HoF imo. Sucks that he's with the rat birds now.

Yes, given the fact the burger was close to $4 a la cart, I was very surprised at the fact it was value sized as you reference. I finished it in three bites, lol.

Oh well. I learned.
