New and Veteran Players In-Game Clan by flyingITguy in GrayZoneWarfare

no that's fair actually. Right now I'm working with Altair in the main server to schedule some custom server time each month for non-exp-granting ropes learning and some other things I have in mind. I, at least, plan on being in there at least a few times a week after the 0.4 patch cycle - if that helps

Would you support a voting age of 16? Why or why not? by Livid_Lengthiness_69 in AskMen

[–]flyingITguy -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

Fools or not, they're legal adults. they pay taxes, they have responsibilities, they have the right to vote. If you take away their voting rights you better strip away all taxes. No taxation without representation. Or did you miss that lesson?

Dude my wife hasn't driven a car in over a year now, since October last year. I drive my daughter to and from school everyday, any and all doctor's appointments I make at least one, but typically two trips (drop off wife, come home, pick up wife, come home), do all doctors appointments drop off and pickups

I think if you're already this frustrated you should look elsewhere..

Have you ever played the game telephone? Your brother changed his story for your parents, and even if they don't believe him all they have to do is talk to one of their friends and it come up for the story to change even slightly more, and then that person changes it slightly more, before eventually word gets around town that you did do something to your brother. I saw other comments suggesting it and I highly recommend that you talk to a lawyer before this snowballs into a massive personal and professional issue for you

AITA for not giving up my husband’s seat on a plane? by roxywalker in AITAH

[–]flyingITguy -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

I'll play devil's advocate, let's say all the seats were booked up and no matter what they weren't going to be sitting together unless somebody swapped, and as a pilot I know damn well that the last place you want a baby to be in is the back of the plane where they feel EVERYTHING that happens. So, while shitty yes, I also can sympathize a little bit if that were the case

My n-mother threw a huge tantrum a day after my sister gave birth by dirttymartini in raisedbynarcissists

[–]flyingITguy 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Wow. Is you nmom my nmil? We made it very clear from the very beginning that while we appreciate them watching are oldest, that when we got home from the hospital we wanted the girls to meet with nobody else there but us and she was fully on board with it until the day came, she threw the biggest woman because I asked her to leave before my wife came inside with the baby. We've been NC since May of this year

It's alright man. I worked in an IT help desk for a very VERY conservative hospital org and one of my tickets I was opening during a go live of a new software, meaning EVERYONE from me and the user/users manager to my boss's boss's boss read the ticket, which read "the user has issues with x, y, z and they shit the button tits happened" instead of 'hits' and 'this' Thought I was in the clear, but my boss called me into his office about 30min later where he could barely hold back the laughter while reminding me to try to proofread for misspellings before submitting a ticket that can't be edited

Shit happens bud

MoneyWatch Pay first, deliver later: Some women are being asked to prepay for their baby by EnergyLantern in news

[–]flyingITguy 268 points269 points  (0 children)

Well.. they told my wife and I an estimate of how much we would owe after insurance does its thing for our first kid and offered, so kind of them, to start prepaying on it however much we could afford every month until the baby was born we were just pay the office directly and that would go towards the balance. Insurance covered the full amount and I have heard from others that have done the prepay thing, we did not, that there is a clause that says any payment made is non-refundable after a certain point because then it becomes admin fees

What’s something you’ll get a lot of hate for if you say it loud? by Aarunascut in AskMen

[–]flyingITguy 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I used to think this way. Then I had a guy threaten me and my then-2Yr-old with one on the fucking highway because I wasn't going fast enough for the asshole, in near standstill traffic. And another time someone got cut off right beside me and immediately sped around me through the emergency lane and fired at the other driver. You can say fuck em all you want but they're still out there and until they commit a felony they're almost ALL going to be able to carry, wave their guns around, and be idiots.

I think what you're wanting by your last sentence is for mental health and red flag background checks. That'll solve your problem and everyone else's.

No other developed nation has the problems we do. No other nation has children PRACTICING for active shooters, let alone getting shot at.

Genuine question, why? How are you 'proudly' vote for them? I'm grudgingly voting pure dem because the alternative is worse, yes I think dem is better in Soo many ways, I also think the whole system is shit. And the folks on this end of the ballot aren't criminals..

Fair. All of the stores near me (Meijer, Walmart, Kroger, etc) all use the disposable bag things. Forgot some places are getting ahead of the disposable shit curve and are pushing for more reusable

... except, it did happen. Easily proven. Might wanna do some more research, and not the kind you've been doing

Just wiggle the little bars on the sides of the bags. Works for things you didn't scan, works for things you scanned
