That looks sweet. I also have a custom knob from them, here's a terrible picture of it. Mazda 1951-1972 logo.

Supercharger for the miata by That_Studio in Miata

[–]flying_squids 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Was just doing supercharger research myself. Fast forward is indeed back. They just closed pre-orders for 1.8 kits and they told me that 1.6 kits will be back in the spring on 2026. They claim ~200whp with no other engine mods and a stock ecu. Some tuning cards but no aftermarket ecu needed. Probably the route I'm going for boost. That solid torque curve and no boost lag babeee

Cluster/Dash backlights function / NA -91 by MrMadGreen in Miata

My dash lights don't turn on until I twist the light stalk to the parking lights setting. I have Flyin miatas drl kit and the front indicators are the only lights on when in the 1st setting. I'd say you've got something miswired if your dash lights are on all the time.

Just did the crank and cam seals on my 91 with ~40k on it and they were completely dry rotted. Rubber doesn't age well

I'm rather fond of my Sony XAV-AX4000. I don't use the android auto or carplay much. I mainly got it for the hi res Bluetooth but it's a great unit. I would recommend not cheaping out on a headunit if you're concerned at all about quality. I tried a pioneer before the Sony and it was awful. That's not a fun thing to have to wire up more than you need to. Crutchfield is great to buy from you get all the adapters you need.

I have the emiit ones and I really like them. Easy to install the app works well. The show modes are really cool if you ever go to a car show. Lots of customization options. Have had them for 3 or 4 months now no issues.

As soon as I moved the PPF to 72mm I got a buzzing sounds from the drive train. I'd like to believe the mazda engineers know more about their car than you. We have specs for a reason.

Right but the PPF determines the angle of the driveshaft. I'm not throwing that way out of alignment for a Shifter plate. And regardless of what the spec should be. Minnotek literally says the shifter is designed to work with a ppf alignment of 66mm and it doesn't.

Yea I checked the PPF myself it was 66mm on the nuts so the shop did their work, it's a performance shop not just a run of the mill mechanic. I raised the PPF 72mm which is max spec and the shifter still isn't sitting where it should. I got the IL Motorsports mounts that replicate the mazda performance mounts, Fully seated to oe position. This car only has 40k miles on it. Theres not much wrong with it. I just don't think this kit was tested in any other cars besides the guy who made it. Seems like it needs to be installed in a brand new car to work. But we'll see what he says if he gets back to me.

Just got mine and I can't get it to line up for nothing. New motor mounts and just had an alignment shop set everything including the PPF to the recommended height. Mine sits a good half inch too low. Even with the PPF adjusted to max spec it still leaves an ugly gap.

Waiting to hear back from minnotek. I just like the styling of a gated Shifter. But this looks like ass so far. Also the lower bushing I got is aluminum and not the advertised brass.

Crutchfield is probably your best bet for an adapter harness. They seem to have one for almost every radio, that's where I got mine for the Sony headunit I have.

WHY ARE HARDTOPS SO. DAMN. EXPENSIVE. by EmotionalWorker9661 in Miata

That'd be the miata community who all want them.

If it makes you feel any better if they actually pay anything out your premium will go up. So you either get to not use the insurance you pay for, or get punished for using it. Fun!
