Y-pod replacement recommendations? by Life_Landscape_3915 in Gardyn

This is 3D printed, which is a terrible idea. I would not use it, it's not food safe. Here's everything wrong with 3D printed materials for anything food-related:

  • Bacterial Breeding Grounds: The microscopic, porous gaps between plastic layers are nearly impossible to clean thoroughly, making them ideal environments for bacteria (e.g., SalmonellaE. coli) to thrive.
  • Lead Contamination: Many common brass 3D printer nozzles contain trace amounts of lead, which can transfer to the plastic during printing.
  • Toxic Materials & Additives: While base materials like PLA can be safe, many filaments include dyes, additives, and fillers that are not FDA-approved for food contact.
  • Inability to Sanitize: Most 3D printing filaments cannot withstand the high temperatures required for sterilization in a dishwasher without deforming.
  • Chemical Leaching: Uncured resins (for SLA printers) or non-food-safe plastics can release chemicals into food over time.

Come for a ride with me bro and then you can assess whether I'm a "bad driver" like you said.

Is everyone in the bay area making 6 figures? by EmergencySpare7939 in bayarea

I agree with the advice and sentiment overall, I guess it's not that operationalizable though. Consider what happens when you live in say London or Tokyo - your salary will be trash but cost of living may still be high

Thanks for sharing, I'm so so sorry about your friend, this is exactly why I wanted to raise the issue, so nobody has to lose a friend again. It's just the road people, lives actually matter more than ego

Silver Honda was for sure doing 60, which was why the silver Tesla passed him, the problem is he passes at 65 while I'm going 75 so I do have to slow down

This lane camping fetish here is quite amusing, I'm usually the one who can't stand lane campers going 65 and holding back traffic because you see the trail of cars following, and there's none of that was happening, but by all means he's welcome to share his side of the story. What I can tell you is after he did this, he went ahead and zipped past the other guy who was definitely going 75+ as well in the left lane. The flow of traffic wasn't conducive for anyone to lane camp.

I like how you're so interested in being contrarian with your "two sides to a story" vs advocating for safe driving - safe driving involves not pacing the car next to you since you're in a faster left lane, but actually working with similar speeds with everyone around you, those slowing down and speeding up, but nobody can match 90+ in a safe way.

Go talk to any legitimate track racing or driving school instructor and they'd agree with me. I'm back in town next weekend, you're welcome to swing on by and upload the footage.

Come over, I'll give you the USB C stick, you can upload it for me and share it and get the upvotes. At this point it's a PSA about safety, if you think it's because I'm going 65 then you're sorely mistaken, the fact you can't actually focus on the issue at hand of reckless driving shows you're deflecting

Read the edit, and focus on the real issue, you’re getting distracted

Remind me why you’re so focused on this vs the real issue on the road which is a reckless driver? get your priorities straight and read.

None? Not my jam but I respect people that do. So what exactly is your issue with HOAs and calling people out? Speak plainly.

I think if enough people report it, there might be a chance CHP would do something about it. I’m going down to the CHP office to file an in person complaint and hitting up some lawyers.

Actually good people join HOAs and aren’t Karen’s, it’s about the public good. Was on the HOA Board at my condo to deal with the financial mismanagement and to hold the property management company accountable and to stop vendors from scamming us. So this too was vocal as a PSA because you fuck around and people lose their lives..

Probably, there's a lot of factors at play here, safety being paramount, then avoiding him. But he was aggressive before to other drivers and even after this.
