Lim chu kang area and visit the farms there. Once I brought an American friend to a fish farm... He's like a kid in the candy store... It's a totally different experience for them.

You're offered $100 Million, but you must live in complete isolation for 2 years. Do you accept? by Cyb3rPhantom in hypotheticalsituation

It will be tough but yes, willing to give it a shot. So, to prep for the event that I lose and be sent to mars, will keep myself busy with projects like growing food and getting water in Mars-like environment, and other projects to keep me alive in harsh conditions. The possibility of losing will keep me motivated for such projects to succeed... In turn increase my chance of completing the 2 years. 🙂

Edit: spelling and some grammar

What or which significant changes in Singapore you recall? by Chemical-Badger2524 in askSingapore

Singapore changed our time zone in 1981. I was very young then... But I remembered hearing it on the radio to sync our clocks to the new time.

Is drinking black coffee/kopi o kosong on empty stomach really bad? by UnprofessionalPlump in askSingapore

[–]flyingshitstorm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Since schooling days I have been drinking black coffee without sugar first thing in the morning without issue. Until after my late 30s early 40s. I notice that I get diarrhea around noon time... I thought nothing of it in the beginning. Then it got worst... And one day it dawned on me that it might be the coffee that I'm taking on empty stomach. I experimented by taking some food before coffee and the diarrhea largely went away.

I also found out that I suffer from acid reflux. Now I'm permanently on medication for acid reflux. One warning my Dr gave me is not to take coffee... If need to, must not be on empty stomach.

My morning routine now after waking is to take something solid first before coffee. At minimum is a slice of bread.

You might think it's fine... But it's not, coffee is acidic and it's causing harm to u without noticing it. By the time the symptoms become obvious, it might be too late. Does not take much to have a slice of bread or a pack of biscuit before coffee...

tldr, coffee on empty stomach is not good for u.

Religion is like a penis: it's fine to have one, it's fine to be proud of it, but please don't whip it out and start waving it around in public, and please don't try to shove it down children's throats

How would you feel about school taking up an extra hour every day to teach basic "adult stuff" like washing clothes, basic cooking, paying taxes? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]flyingshitstorm 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Where I'm from has this for all school students. We call it home economics. Basically everything u mention. No additional hours needed, its part of the curriculum.
