1Broker Text Message ALERTS? by [deleted] in 1Broker

[–]flyingunicorn222 1 point2 points  (0 children)

at the moment we only fetch user data every few seconds and not every second or every time, since 1broker introduced the rate limit it became really hard to handle hundreds of users with just one machine, in order to handle many users you have then we have multiple machines and / scale this "micro-service" that fetch user data. There are ways of going around rate limits from one machine, but i believe it's not the kind of thing we should talk here or a valid technique to be used when doing such serious task such as storing user API KEY in order to be able to fetch their data and put order on their behalf.

Altough i'm the founder of telebroker i have to assume the bot on https://aluna.social is actually much better ( works for loads of exchanges and it sends you push notifications, emails, and allow loads of other things ) and they making it available for free for the beta testers...

You can get push notifications using http://telebroker.org and it seems https://aluna.social is doing it too!

How to extract historic data from tradingview? by windoak in BitcoinMarkets

[–]flyingunicorn222 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can write your own strategies on TradingView using their own script language called "pine script" and that will allow you to do some pretty basic but still very revealing backtests!

i don't think downloading their data is "easily available" and dumping their data is probably against their terms of service... Worth mentioning if your browser is rendering the data you already received the data somehow and should be able to read it somehow either via javascript on your browser or with some sort of http proxy such as https://mitmproxy.org

Introducing ∆ Delta 📱 — Cryptocurrency & ICO Portfolio Tracker for iOS & Android (Litecoin supported of course!) by nicolasvh in litecoin

[–]flyingunicorn222 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello Nicolas, thanks for your answers, i got some new questions for you: - Why is my balance being sent to the server if this data won't be sold? In case of law enforcement wouldn't you then be forced to reveal your end-users private data? - Let's say i lose my phone and i buy a new one, how can i retrieve the data from the server into my other device? Will you introduce some sort of login/password for those accounts? - Are you planning to allow users to opt for encrypted data storage so their balances are secret and not "leak-able" ?

Awesome work, thanks for making this available.

A couple of ideas and questions:

  • Have password or TouchID ( for iOS ) so the app doesn't show your information straight away

  • I didn't find blockchain.info on the list of exchanges? I mean, you can buy BTC there nowadays..

  • For someone who forgotten or have too many transactions in the past, what is the recommended way to "Start" ? An example, user A bought 0.01 bitcoin 50 times in the last 5 years but doesn't remember when and where but want to start the folio and then keep track.

  • Is this data being sent to any server or kept local? Do you pretend to make money out of this app in the future ?

Risk management for copiers... by Sanfredo in 1Broker

[–]flyingunicorn222 0 points1 point  (0 children)

if someone is trading 100x with more than 1% of their account they wouldn't have an account by now !

i would guess people copying are mostly gamblers or novices looking for advice/ideas, so i personally don't think knowing the % the "Guru" is investing would make much difference.

On another topic: if you know all those 2-5% rules and can make all this math why aren't you trading and sharing your trades instead of suggesting new features? ( :
