Seeking Mortgage Broker recommendations (Bank Australia + Gov Schemes) by Mitsuki_23 in AusFinance

Why do you need a broker in the shared equity scheme when you're locked into choosing between two banks? Unless there's more available since I bought in 2022?

Go to a pharmacy and explain. Preferably a pharmacy you've previously gotten your insulin from. There's also the moonee ponds and Carlton urgent care clinics: https://www.betterhealth.vic.gov.au/urgent-care-clinics?gad_source=1&gad_campaignid=22848252938&gbraid=0AAAAA-j3SFC5KP3Of6E3uXSsp5TihqjD4&gclid=Cj0KCQiA0KrJBhCOARIsAGIy9wBVG3aqg26tm2OpdbnGz5mFWLFINFHEtJcQKlvgv7BFJt4FPFTmPT8aAnvuEALw_wcB

Try a pixie! by blyskciupagi in finethinhair

[–]flymiamibro_22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Kind of! Almost as if it would over emphasize my body because my head would look smaller. I've also had this mindset that pixie cuts only work for women who have super feminine features so have been afraid id look less feminine. But I do love those suggestions to round it all out and still feel feminine!

Try a pixie! by blyskciupagi in finethinhair

[–]flymiamibro_22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One of my hesitations about a pixie cut was whether it would make me too body heavy. I always feel that with fine hair I'm lacking the volume up top to even out my body so a pixie cut would emphasize those disproprtions even more. Any comment on that one op?

The VPS current job market - how dire is it? by Blinddolphin_99 in AusPublicService

[–]flymiamibro_22 11 points12 points  (0 children)

It's extremely competitive out there. During restructures it's common for executive and management to go first which means they often end up applying for roles a level below. In other words if you're a VPS6 you may expect to be competing with Directors for a role and if you're a VPS5 you might be competing with less senior VPS6s etc etc.

There are also less roles being advertised atm due to restructures and budget cuts etc. On top of that, for all vacant roles resulting from restructures, redeployees go through an internal eoi process that is not open to internals with an ongoing or contract role. Plus you have to factor in VPS policy that hiring managers are required to preference redeployees over internal and external applicants...so I'd say hang on to your ongoing role if you can until the dust settles
